Ten years ago, Jason Garrett was a backup quarterback on the New York Giants when terrorists flew planes into the World Trade Center Towers. This September he will return as the Cowboys' head coach to open the season Sept. 11 against the New York Jets.

really, is everyone who writes about 9/11 or teaches it really needs to implement it into everything? Does Garrett going back really have any baring on that what so ever?

And sure might as well throw in the insensitive crowds noise as well. Just doesnt seem to be needed in my opinion.

Just don't confuse the tragic events on 9/11 to the job at hand for the Cowboys. Coming out in week 1 on the road vs the Jets would be a big confidence builder for this team.

Honestly, it isn't that difficult to figure this stuff out. Make an effort now and then to look intelligent.

Not to put a hex on the season (if it starts on time that is :crossed: ), but I really think that one of the best games this year will be Ryan versus Ryan. I was really hoping that it would happen a month or so into the season, but let's get this one out of the way early.

There will be huge expectations. If we get past the labor nonsense, Ryan's philosophy can be installed and Garrett can re-asserted his will over the team's chemistry. Then this matchup may evolve into a classic one. Here's hoping.
