Jason Hatcher is really looking like he could be one of our best passrushers on the team.

This is my top ten of pass-rushers that's currently on our team.

1. Greg Ellis - has been versatile in his pass-rush as a Defensive End and Linebacker. Greg Ellis is the Dallas Cowboys most complete pass-rusher, he knows how to get to the Quarterback by any means neccessary.

2. Demarcus Ware- he gets pressure on the Quarterback almost every play, only if he was a bit faster at getting to the quarterback to take him down, he would be a pro bowl linebacker.

3. Jay Ratliff- is a serious sleeper, is currently our sack leader with 2.0 sacks. I believe he could be our most dominant pass-rusher. He rush from anywhere on the defensive line. He rush as a Defensive Tackle and Defensive End. He's quick fast and he's in a hurry to get the Quarterback.

4. Jason Hatcher- has show he can get to the Quarterback, but far as taking him down it's been quite a challenge but the thing with Hatcher is he distracts the Quarterback when he grab them, which most of the time ends in a half a sack.

5. Marcus Spears- He's not really a feared sack artist but he requires alot of help from other offensive lineman which causes pressure from other players. He's also one of our best pass-rusher. He's more of a power rusher.

6. Kenyon Coleman- A whole lot of people put him down saying he's not a good player. I believe he's a solid back-up and a adaquete starter. I like his pass-rushing skill also, I believe he need to become more polished than what he is now, but I think in mid-season (week 8 on out) he's going to really show some intensity, and he currently have a sack which was against the Commanders.

7. Kevin Burnett - I believe he could be one of our most explosive pass-rushers if he get the playing time to do so. I believe he should be the one who is competing with Demarcus Ware.

8. Roy Williams - When he's at the line, he could be effective and sometimes he's not. Its according to how good the defensive line get a good push. When Roy Williams is in the box it could really spell trouble. An interesting note is that Roy Williams have 2 interceptions in two games.

9. Chris Canty - Just like Spears, I believe Canty is what you call a power rusher. Chris Canty is the type of Defensive lineman that requires alot of attention which may cause offensive lineman to think twice with a blitz.

10. Bradie James - Is on the inside but if he could get through there on the nickel situations could be a big impact.

What's your top ten?

I'd like to see Roy get in that mix on occasion. A little deception by our defense could go a long way.

The thing that is a little misleading when rating Ratliff and Hatcher is that they typically are in the game specifically to rush the QB - they are unburdened by the restriction and distraction of playing the run so they naturally are going to look good rushing the passer.

Good point.

I'd love to be able to say we have 10 legit pass rushers.

Can't at this point, but I'd love it.

I'm with you there Hos. I do think these guys will get better as the season goes along though.

Dallas will not get 5 sacks a game. Quarterbacks are just getting rid of the ball too fast these days. So I tend to look at more "constant pressure."
