Philadelphia Eagles left tackle Jason Peters ruptured his Achilles' tendon for a second time this offseason, according to a report from CSNPhilly.com's Derrick Gunn. The Eagles later confirmed the injury.

Anyone think his career might be over?

It would be a shame. He's a top-notch player and a terrific player development story.

Probably tried to rush it too soon. His days as a premiere blind side tackle could be over, but even if he loses a step he could move over to the right side. Mostly I think he just has to start over from square one

He fell from his wheelchair supposedly.

Wow, you'd think a pro football player would have the balance not to fall out of a wheelchair but then again - maybe they didn't have one that could fit him properly.

Anyhow sad for the player but happy to see something bad happen to the Eagles.

Eagles LT Jason Peters ruptured his Achilles a second time, setting back his recovery three weeks.
A malfunctioning Roll-A-Bout was to blame. The device broke, which led to Peters falling on his face and re-injuring the Achilles. With his 2012 season already in doubt after suffering the initial injury on March 30, Peters can no longer be relied on for a late-season return. The Eagles signed Demetress Bell to hold down the fort while Peters, arguably the league's top left tackle, recovers. They may have to count on Bell for much longer than originally expected. will require second surgery three weeks after original surgery. Peters fell on his face after Roll-A-Bout equipment malfunctioned while i was trying to turn in the kitchen. Peters plans to sue Roll-A-Bout.

It's wrong but this story is such a freak situation I literally laughed out loud

He's suing the manufacturer, lol

Same here. I chuckled.

Surprised it didn't cause foundation problems in his house. :lmao2:

Now that it's out of the way, that is unfortunate. The guy might be done forever.

Big guy in the kitchen with a malfuncting roll-a-round. Funny visual but sad story.

Not sure what happened with that... I've known this kid since he was a 6th grader...

He's a smart kid... not sure about common sense, though...

that sucks! That's not cool at all. I don't care what team he plays for, I feel bad for him, a little.

A roll-a-bout for those who don't know what it is. It isn't your grammy's HoveRound chair. Hurt leg goes on the cushions and you ROLL about. ;)

In un-related news, Philadelphia suffers a 8.3 earthquake. Shock waves were felt for many miles around the vicinity of John Peter's residence.
