Listening to the local sports radio over here reminded me of a conversation I had with some of my Foreskin buddies. Basically they said that you can't find one Foreskin fan that wants him on the team.

My buddies swore up and down that Jason Taylor was going to be an impact player.

How did that work out?

:lmao2:

Furthermore, they swore that Zach Thomas' brain was jelly and that he wouldn't contribute at all.

All in all I'd say Zach was an upgrade over the other guy.

You mean the guy who came in at the middle of the season? The guy who every time he touches the football it has either been a 1st down or a touchdown? The guy who has a total of 3 games under his belt with a solid QB?

Bad example.

Actually it's a very good example. Westbrook had one season of a solid Qb play and had a good year that year. Everyone year, he failed to live up to expectations. Kinda like Williams.

1 season (including camps) vs. 3 games is a good example?

Dude.

Come back after RW11 has had at least one off season with us.

The guy who every time he touches the football it has either been a 1st down or a touchdown? The guy who has a total of 3 games under his belt with a solid QB?

^^This

Horrible example...

You do realize that RW11 played in Detroit his whole career, right?

Since the above is true it also goes without saying that he has NEVER had solid QB play while in Detroit.

You also realize that RW11 has better numbers in EVERY statistical category than M Westbrook despite playing in less games.

Riddle me this:

Would you keep your current receivers rather than take RW11?

You can also include the wasted picks on your two wideouts that haven't contributed at all. In fact, your coach has all but questioned their intelligence and desire to play.

Why do we keep bringing up these garbage skin players....They have 2 good players Moss and Portis everyone else is hype and trash.

The radio spot just reminded me of how enamored the people were around here (MD) with twinkle toes...

They also stated many times (when they landed taylor) that he would have a better year than Zach.

I can't remember, but what did the Foreskins give up for Taylor?

A 2nd round pick in 2009 and a sixth in 2010.

I do. You're also talking about Roy Williams who we got in the middle of the season and who has had only 3 games with Tony Romo. If you think for one minute that Roy Williams could not eclipse Westbrook's best season in the NFL next year then you are high. Calling him Roy Westbrook and saying he's as incompetent as Taylor is pure homerism.

Hos -

Now that I look at it - it may be a little vague.

I was quoting your post to reiterate that Sonny chose a horrible example.

Because every time RW11 has touched that ball it has been for something positive.

I think he was pointing to what you said as to why the other guy calling out Roy was a horrible example.

*Edit - he posted the explanation after I'd already hit post. :)

Sonny would have tried to compare RW11 to Brandon Lloyd, except for the fact that Williams already has caught more touchdowns for us than Lloyd had in 2 years as a Redsk*n. :lmao2:

Michael Westbrook
8 seasons
285 receptions
4374 yards
26 TDs

Roy Williams
In his 5th season
273 receptions
4045 yards
30 TDs

Looks like Roy is already better than Michael. There is a good chance that Roy passes Westbrook in number of receptions and receiving yards by the end of this sesaon. Williams already has more TDs than Westbrook. This is in 3 fewer seasons.

I said when they signed him that Taylor is too soft to play in the NFCE.
