Jason Witten interviewed for FOX broadcasting role?

Apologies if this has already been discussed and I missed it, but this report would seem to imply that Witten was -- and perhaps still is -- contemplating retiring this offseason.

"Instead, FOX will have to turn to Plan B. Kurt Warner is expected to be among those considered for the job, according to Marchand. Cowboys tight end Jason Witten, retired quarterback Carson Palmer and retired offensive linemen Joe Thomas auditioned with the network."

If they plan to hire him I hope it’s in the next week or two
I don’t think he would take it if it pushed up against the draft and left the team hanging

Actually if you look at our second rnd picks they are a little better hit rate than league avg
Even at TE
They just didn’t make an impact here because there was a HOF player in front of them
 
I'm cool with him sticking, but I also look forward to hearing him calling games, or giving analysis.
He has a brain and the experience to add a lot to any booth, or show on the NFL.
