Jason Witten: "Wouldn't Trade Romo For Manning"

Really? We're going to keep this going?

And you bring a quote from "the skipper" to Romo's "little buddy"??

:laugh2:
I sure am. I have never minded hammering the ridiculous.

It's no more absurd than those who would deny Romo's leadership abilities because he doesn't "look like a leader" on television.

Can't recall many players saying they wish they were playing with a different QB, other than TO and maybe Randy Moss.

:laugh2: I wonder how many years these guys have to lose before homers realize how great they aren't.

I wonder if you have any clue about football.

Romo isn't a pimple on Manning's HOF A , dumb comment from his Cabo partner in crime. Manning is one of the 5 greatest throwers of a thing called a football - Period.

Yeah, and he'd look pedestrian behind our offensive line.

I wouldn't want Peyton Manning either right now. Let's have a decent offensive line and then we'll start to eliminate quarterback from the problem.

Romo over Manning :laugh2:

Stupid post...... Payton Manning already a HOF and probably go down the best QB of all time..... he going to shatter all records by far and not going to have to play past 40 to break it either.....

Stop just stop

agreed that manning is one of, if not the best throwers of the football....
but i gotta say, im not impressed with his playoff record and he seems to throw some crucial ints in very significant games.

and by no means am i saying that romo is any better.

Romo's outstanding and years younger than Peyton. I wouldn't make the trade either.

Extremism in defense of [strike]liberty[/strike] Tony is no vice.

I don't think anyone - not even Witten - is arguing Romo is better than Peyton Manning. However, he is a very good quarterback in his own right, years younger, and the offense has been designed around him here and he knows the playbook and the receivers. Don't underestimate the value of continuity - If you're smart, you don't change to just change.

Before anyone assigns me an opinion that is not mine. Peyton Manning is the best QB I have ever seen and I do not agree with Jason Witten. However, my whole point was to further laugh at those who claim Tony Romo is not a leader. Nothing more.

I find it hilarious that because Tony Romo's best buddy makes a ridiculous comment, that is proof to you that Tony is a leader.

Wow..

:laugh2:

Wrong again sicky. (That is a movie line, not an inuslt.)

I was already convinced the stance that he is not a leader was dumb. This isn't proof by any wild stretch of the imagination. It is just a slap in the face of those who think he isn't.

Its not a slap in the face to those of us with the common sense to know that Witten is Romo's best friend.. on and off the field.
