It was an ugly Sunday, but this moment after the Dallas Cowboys' Week 16 loss to the Buffalo Bills was quite special.

Bills Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly was in the tunnel of Ralph Wilson Stadium as the Cowboys left the field once the final whistle sounded. Kelly, a cancer survivor, greeted several Cowboys players after their defeat. One player to pass by Kelly was Cowboys tight end Jason Witten.

The ironman gave Kelly the ultimate nod of appreciation. Watch in the video embedded below.

I always liked Kelly. I rooted for the Bills in 2 of their SB's . Too bad they couldn't beat the Giants or Commanders. Witten has always been classy. Always represented the star well.

Jim Kelly was a great football player, but probably an even better man. The Kelly family has been through a lot. I cant even imagine what it must have been like to raise and nurture a child with a terminal illness. I agree with Witten, Jim Kelly's story is a very inspiring one! RIP Hunter Kelly.

This team sure could use a few more Wittens and a few less knuckleheads.
