I made a post yesterday stating that I want the head coach of Notre Dame to be the Dallas Cowboys coach Marcus Freeman.

However, if that’s not possible, I think we all should listen to what Jerry said a few months ago about Jason Witten …

Jerry Jones, former owner of the Dallas Cowboys, has praised Jason Witten and said he could become a top NFL coach:

  • Understanding of football: Jones said Witten is sophisticated and understands the nuances of football.

  • Work ethic: Jones said Witten has an extraordinary work ethic.

  • Physicality: Jones said Witten understands the physical and mental aspects of being physical.

  • Comparison to Dan Campbell: Jones said Witten reminds him of Dan Campbell, the head coach in Detroit.

  • Potential to be a great coach: Jones believes Witten could become a great NFL coach.

  • NFL coaching in Witten's future: Jones said he sees NFL coaching in Witten's future "without a question".
I think this is our next head coach.

If Jerry were to do something like this over Ben Johnson (who he supposedly won't hire due to lack of HC experience)...I just... I can't even articulate the words or acts of violence I'd want to commit.

I've no doubt he'll be on the new staff with some phoney baloney title.

But even given how incompetent the Joneses are, I have a hard time believing they'll trust the entire team to a high school coach.

Dan Campbell earned his way to being an NFL head coach.

Jason Witten coached a small private high school team in a state division with something like 7 total teams.

That hardly screams, "NFL Head Coach ready" ..
It wouldn’t shock me though - he loves JW .
