Possible? Sure. But I wouldn't hold my breath on it.
Him making the Pro Bowl is dependent upon so many things -- his own health, Romo's health, a scheme and surrounding players that allow him to be featured in the passing game, etc.
Three years from now we could be starting a Brooks Bollinger type with a run-first offensive coordinator. The Pro Bowl wouldn't seem so likely for Witten.
So, yes, when we're talking pure talent, but no when looking at all the crap that go wrong around him.
Romo's Health - Check (Has done it with and without Romo, and even before with Drew Bledsoe)
Scheme - Check (Is doing it now, has done it with great schemes in 2007 and done it with poor clock control schemes when Parcells was still here)
Injury - Check (Too many to list, but he's done it throughout every injury he's suffered and that list is considerably long and amazing when considering he's never missed a beat)
There's only one other player that comes to mind when thinking about what Witten has already done, and considering he's continued to do it against so many odds already in his short career. That person is Brett Favre, the NFL's "IRON MAN".
I could very easily see Witten making this accomplishment of 10 straight by the time he's 31-32, and even continue going from there with just as much steam as ever.
But what seems to be most unique about Jason is every hardship he's encountered already in his short career, he seems to come out the other end stronger and better than he was before it happen, with even more determination.
I like the odds Witten is creating. His career has been amazing to watch and should continue to be. Though like you said, any number of things honestly could go wrong and that's just the reality of the game. Maybe in the end though he will prove to be like a Brett Favre and just continue defying the odds long past any reasonable expectation.
