Actually the stupid thing was throwing on 3rd down with 1:30 to go in the 4th quarter and not making Jax used their final time out. That probably cost us the game.

The call to pick up the third down doesn't bother me as much as the call to pass it deep. We convert and pick up the first down, the game is over. We should have had a play call where we give Dak better options. Take the sure route. If not, take the sack and keep the clock running.

Exactly. Wide open receiver or take the sack. The first down blocking, or lack thereof, sealed it. OL is also very inconsistent.

You have laid out very good points here. Throwing long and not going for the first down was a terrible decision. I'd like to know if that was called by KM or changed at the line. I can't remember

This is true but as one of Dak's strongest supporters, his decision to try and complete such a low percentage pass is interesting. Why try for such a long pass play rather than make sure you get a completion ( regardless of yards )? Hell, even a sack would have been better.....at least the clock is still running.
