I wouldn't spend a first day pick on him, but if he was there in the 4th or 5th, I would take a stab at him.

I think he ended up in the Arena League.
I just don't see Lane having enough speed to stick in the NFL. You can find quality players with those 7th round picks and I wouldn't want to waste one on a novelty act like Lane.
But I could be wrong. Lord knows I'm not a scout.

He has put on a little weight, but still has good speed (4.5 range if I remember correctly ). He is naturally a big guy. The difference between Lane and FB's is that Lane has tailback feet and quickness.
No way he doesn't get drafted. He has too much potential and natural talent.
