wuud it say?

You should read it yourself and not depend upon others to relate their version of the article.

My rendition is that he was very fair in his conclusion that Dak will return to his former self.

It's commonplace for QBs to have a swoon in their 2nd year. A return to 2016 is welcome.

The Dallas Cowboys and Dak Prescott took a step back from their phenomenal 2016 season across the board last year.

Prescott's sophomore campaign was a far cry from his Rookie of the Year season, and left many pondering whether the drop-off would actually alter the Cowboys' future security at the most important position on the field.

Former Eagles QB and current analyst Ron Jaworski pointed out the keys to Prescott's fall back down to earth, which stems from teams studying Prescott in the offseason, Ezekiel Elliott's suspension, and left tackle Tyron Smith's crucial injury.

+++++++++++

As a side note, this is a rather complimentary article and quotes by Jaworski. I know there is a clear hate for Jaws and cannot understand why. He used to work a show on ESPN wherein he would breakdown the teams and show specific plays and how they were scripted that gave one team an advantage over another. He still may do that. I don't watch much ESPN now that the NFLN is around.

But I always tried to catch that show because he had insight that most of the people here appreciate, and try to bring to the discussions or silly arguments here.

I have always liked Jaws, after he retired. Just my opinion.

Yep, the three most common sense factors that have been put forth here over and over again. The other big one that he didnt mention was the fact that the coaching did absolutely nothing to adjust the scheme from year one to year two to match Daks skills. And did little to adjust the offense once are stars went down and less than capable backups came in.

Thanks - now I don't have to read it. Got another graphic idea to do.

There was certainly some of that. One of the WR's seems to get whiney when he's not targeted enough and I think that caused some throws that shouldn't have been made.

On top of that the entire offense from the Oline to the play calling was not sharp last season.

That we can't have, not with a young QB......veteran QBs knows exactly how to handle these type WRs. Remembers times Troy Aikman had to keep Michael Irvin in check sometimes.

this a more a failure on the part of the team than Dak,the Eagles lost Peters and didnt lose a step.the Eagles lost a amazing LB and didnt lose a step.our FO failed the team, attrition is a part of Football and we dont have the depth to compete with the Eagles.

Didn't read the article, but positive or negative, does anyone really care what Jaws says?

He severely underrated Romo for YEARS and said Kaepernick would be the best QB in the league.

Pass.

We're each and all entitled to our personal opinions of Jaws or anyone else. I've always felt that Jaworski does his best to be forthright and honest about his opinions. Of course, this surely doesn't mean everyone is obliged to concur with that. I've heard him publicly state that Romo was a very good QB, despite his having been a member of a division competitor. To me, he seemed sincere, honest and forthright in that evaluation.

On another QB front, Dak Prescott had a poor year, even by his own personal standards in 2017. I'm hoping he's able to vindicate his sophomore slump with better pass protection and improved WR performances this season and in the years to come. Let's just see what the future has in store for us as fans once help arrives in the upcoming season. Hopefully, Dak and the team as a whole will improve in 2018, at least to some meaningful extent.

I think a big part of the problem with Dak last year was too much forcing the ball to a covered receiver rather than throwing to the open guy

Altogether too often, Dak was getting pressure by Dez to throw the ball to him, never mind the constant lack of separation. Other receivers often had trouble getting open as well. It's high time for this team to acquire WRs with an innate ability to get open. They've ignored that obvious priority long enough. ;)

So when there's more tape on you and your all pro OT is Injured and your Pro Bowl RB gets suspended, this affects your performance. If you add in the coaching staff and an aging wide receiver and tight end Dak should have made the Pro Bowl. Who could succeed under such adversity. Dak has accuracy issues when he passes, but I think it's accurate to say that Dak should gets a pass. Where is the boat rocking emoji:) On your mark, get ready, set, Dak:popcorn:
Same think happened in Philly before Wentz got hurt. 2nd year QB lost Sproles and Peters. They were just fine.

Bottom line is Dak needs everything to be perfect for him to win. Just like this defense needs everyone healthy to not give up 450 yards

Taking Jaws and Hodge off NFL matchup was a horrible decision. That was my favorite football show for a long time and even though it was hosted by a Stealer, and Eagle, and an Eagle fanboy It was great. Great insight, breakdowns, and even the music was good.

Now it’s the total opposite. That had to fire producers too??

**** you Espn.

I have no use for the opinion of an Eagle.
