I like Ron Jaworski and I think he brings alot to the table.

Funny, you all talk about how biased he was but I can't count how many times he praised Tony Romo's maturity in the pocket and constantly showed clips during the game of him standing tall in the pocket.

It is obvious that Jaws is an Eagles fan but he definately praises the Cowboys and is a fan of Tony Romo.

I don't like Jaworski. His voice is grating and his delivery is over done. Is he better than Theeeesman? Yes, but I still don't like him. Tirico is OK, Kornheiser is comic relief that isn't very funny.

Well I can tell you after some stuff he pulled during the arena season, the jones family are not fans of his. He was pretty much a first rate ****** to Jerry's son n law and he let everyone know about ron jaworski on the radio.

It was fun to listen to. Jaws fits right in with that philly crowd. Obnoxious and love to beat their own chest when their winning.

I have pretty much lost all respect for everyone at espn. guys I used to like to listen to like tom jackson are complete buffoons now. Ever since espn changed management they have become complete garbage.

Jaworski is an obnoxious homer.

He has toned it down a bit since getting in the booth, but he was awful in the studio, once telling the viewers about how he and his boys "went down to Dallas and opened a can of you-know-what" back during his playing days. Uncalled for.

For what it's worth, I think Mike Tirico is doing a pretty good job as a play-by-play man. He saw the DeSean Jackson goof before anyone else.

Also, Trent Dilfer has been a real find for ESPN. Outstanding analyst.

Jaws is the best tape analyzer out there. I love listening to him.

Agreed...he is a homer for sure but he is one of the better analysts on ESPN. Just kind of a dweeb but still better than the others IMO.

Sure, but one must not let one's stong qualities be overshadowed by obnoxious and blatant homerism.

I think Jaws is one of the best in the business when he's talking about teams or games that don't involve the Eagles. He's a huge upgrade over Theisman and does good film review.

But yeah, I agree with everyone who's said his homer side came out a few times in that game. I remember those close calls that he wanted to go the Eagles way. There was some other smug thing he said in the middle of the game insinuating that the Eagles were going to win, but I don't remember exactly what it was.

Jaws is a clown who blows the horn for the beagles every chance he got. When the cowboys made a great play he repeatedley found a way to down play the greatness of our team and find an excuse to explain what happenned to the beagles. He needs to leave his Donavan Thong at home....

QFT BRANDON: LISTENED TO THE WHOLE GAME ON MUTE. You know they SUCK in the booth when the least annoying one is Tony Kornholer IMO!

I like Jaws but you could hear his Eagle coming out on that PI call against Cole.

After Cole shoved Curtis the ground Jaws was playing the "If a guy moves in front of you, what are you supposed to do" angle.

Yep. He was practically giggling in joy as the momentum swung in the Eagles direction.

Also, he is good w/ the film, but I wish he would have a little fun about being a homer, its weird how its not always discussed.

You could tell who hes roooting for when theres a questionable call or close play that could go either way and hes 100% it should go th Eagles way
Notice he didn't say anything when the replay showed Jackson dropping the Ball and remember last year when him and Tony K were openly rooting for the Bills.

I'm sure that anyone that was old enough knows he didn't open up too many Cans against the Cowboys during his career.

Does anyone besides me long for the day he's on the same set as Kiper?

I always wanted him to end up on the Colts somehow.

At least with Jaws he actually breaks down game film and gives you an honest opinion.

Yea he is an Eagles homer but so what, that is part of the fun of it.

i think Jaws is a lot better in a studio and analyzing what a team does great to show to the public. as a analyst in a booth i dont think he's that good at all because he just doesnt make it that interestin or idk its somethin about him n its not that he's a eagles homer... he's solid at best in the booth. IMO the fox analysts are the best in the business by far! even troy who gets a lot of hate for being "against" the cowboys

I've been saying Jaws is overrated for years. He's constantly apologizing for every QB that doesn't play for the Cowboys. Whether it be Rex Grossman, Tarvaris Jackson or Kyle Boller, Jaws can't apologize enough for them. But when it's Tony Romo there's some sort of luck or doom involved with Jaws' analysis.

Then when he's talking about the NFL in general, he puts his pom poms on for the Eagles. Not to forget that he's more about delivery over substance. I'll never forget he was talking to Mike Greenburg and Greeny was commenting on Romo's great ability to throw the ball from different angles and Jaws says "you call it different angles Mike, but I call it throwing from different platforms."

As far as ESPN's NFL matchup, Merrill is far better than Jaws and Dick Vermeil owns Jaws in the announcer's booth (and so does Chris Spielman, who unfortunately does C levell NCAA games).

Enough about Jaws: he's irritating but harmless overall. How about the post game last night with Young? Emmitt was getting irritated and I don't blame him. Young is a pompous clown. I told my wife he lost all credibility when I found out he believes in the "magic underwear" nonsense. Mormon or not, thats just laughable. Thought Emmitt was going to take him to the wood shed last night....wouldn't have blamed him actually..................

It's pretty clear that Jaws was "rooting" for the Eagles last night. Just like he was "rooting" for his hometown Bills last year.

But he breaks down the passing game well. I thought he did ok breaking down Romo's game. Yes, he drooled all over McNabb, but all the sportscasters have a thing for him.

I think it was Jaws that was critical of Romo this summer. He was saying that he didn't see Romo as a guy that read coverages well....or something like that.

A lot of people dog on him, but Aikman is the best there is. He's very fair. I think he goes overboard at times trying not to sound like a homer like Jaws, Theismann, etc...., but I think he's fair.

Big deal, he played for the Eagles, and he has a hard time hiding it.

The guy is still a good commentator, and he ads good insight.
