Jay Ajayi fully cleared

As the Cowboys have said they fully expect Zeke to be in camp. I have little doubt they will work out a deal for Zeke and use some young RB that they like heading into camp.
I don't think Zeke is getting a new deal just yet. Why else would Dallas exercise that 5th year team option like they just did? He is under contract thru 2020. Why pay him now, why not start negotiations next offseason?

DR. James Andrews just cleared him 100% medically. Do we take a look at adding him for some insurance?

He could be some measure of consideration if a worst case situation were to happen with Elliott. But I'm not expecting that to happen.

So I'll "cross that bridge when I come to it".

You do it to give yourself time be it this season or next. I don't think another deal is done in Dallas until Dak contract is taken care of but does not mean Dallas can't or won't work out deal with Zeke afterwards.

that's kinda what I think too..PLUS I think teams will also take the approach you said...wait and see. I think he wont get a looksey by anyone unless a runner gets hurt in camp...then MAYBE. But only reason I brought him up..JG has connections to Boise players and that staff...it would be an intriguing signing if Zeke has any sort of off field issue...

And who would be our insurance for Ajayi getting hurt when he gets looked at too hard in practice by the water boy?
sadly...Darius Jackson I expect lol..but keep in mind, we have Pollard..tho unproven and a diff. kind of back.

Can Pollard take that NFL beating and take up the slack if Zeke isnt avail? That's why I mentioned Jay.

He was on my "contingency list" if there was an actual Elliott holdout, along with a few others. But again, I'm not anticipating there being an actual issue with a holdout. The player really has no leverage.

He was fun to watch for Miami in 2016. One man wrecking machine. Too bad Gase was Gase and Ajayi had grown an ego too.

That he was, he had a few spectacular games running behind what was a pretty mediocre offensive line. I've often wondered what might have been with him running behind a better one? But his time in Philadelphia was less than I had expected.

Even with Zeke in the fold

GIVE ME AJAYI

Cowboys had Ajayi as a visitor for Dallas Day during draft process

He reminds me of Marion Barber in the way he runs with reckless abandon. And like Barber, his career will ultimately be a short one as a result. But he'll burn out before he fades away.

If anything does materialize with an Elliott holdout, he'll be the first running back I would call.
