Dallas is catching the Bears at the right time. They gotta get this one. Look at all the injuries for their starters:

Jay Cutler (QB) - Possible broken thumb. Was seen with a cast on during after the game. Played with ligament damage against the Texans week 1.
Lamar Houston (OLB) - Significant knee injury per John Fox. Expectation is its a torn ACL
Eddie Goldman (NT) - The dreaded high ankle sprain. Was in a walking boot after the game.
Adrian Amos (FS) - Concussion, will have to pass protocol this week.
Bryce Callahan (CB) - Concussion, will have to pass protocol this week.
Parnell McPhee (OLB) - on PUP will not play.
Kyle Fuller (CB) - Had arthroscopic knee surgery during training camp. Not likely to play.

There is no excuse to lose this game. And I live in Chicago and have seen Brian Hoyer play this year (and during preseason). He's awful. He makes Cutler look like a legit NFL starter. He had a pass last night that he pretty much threw into the stands (unintentionally).

I doubt Cutler has an injury the only thing that is injured is his weak brain.

If there is one NFL coaching staff that could screw this up....it resides in Dallas. I'm hopeful, but not over confident.

Awww no I would rather have Cutler in. Most useless QB in the NFL collecting a pay cheque.

He looked like he was doing nothing but going through the motions last night. It would not surprise me at all if Cutler's OL purposely didn't block so Cutler could get hit. He looks like one of the worst teammates ever.

i like our chances a lot better without Cutler

wouldn't surprise me one bit if we struggled against a Hoyer led mash unit either

we could lose to anyone unless our defense takes it up a level. I'm especially concerned with how lost we are in pass coverage... WTH?

without watching the all 22 of the last 2 games, my educated guess is that our coverage is probably fine for about the first 3-4 seconds and quickly falls apart (and rightfully so, can't cover guys forever) due to no pass rush

except for Wilcox, he ALWAYS looks lost

Many times the situation is a catch-22 mess. It seems like Marinelli has them playing soft coverage because he doesn't trust the pass rush to get home quickly, but when the rush does get there quickly the QB makes a quick pass to an open receiver because they're playing soft!

Living in Chicago, and boy it's gotten bad. It turned so quickly on John Fox. All last year and this year into the opener, all that was being talked about was how John Fox is rebuilding this and changing the culture left by Marc Trestman. People were expecting 7-9 or 8-8 and thought it would be a successful season. Now its all gone to hell. This is looking a lot like that Bears team that Dallas trounced in 2014.

If this plays out with Chicago being short handed we better not play with conservative scheming on defense. Be aggressive! Send blitzes and take chances. There's no reason why we can't come out and jump on these guys in dominating the game from the start.

I don't want to see just four blitzing and Chicago developing their rythym in making it a close game.

Injured it in the beginning of the game, aggravated it to the point he was taken out in the 3rd quarter.

Could be Dak vs. Hoyer

I'd rather the Boys face Cutler. Beat him down and he quits every time.

This would be the first time since late 2013 that we've got to face a back-up QB (sadly we got burnt that year by Flynn and McCown). We were set to face a Saints team without Brees last year, but as always, everyone heals up quickly to play their personal Super Bowl with the Cowboys. Karma needs to start swinging back in our favor.
