Would you take him if he actually falls to the 3rd round? great value or bust?

I would seriously consider. He has the talent to be mentioned at a 1st overall pick. If he can sit behind Tony for 2-3 years, he may turn out to be another Arron Rogers.

Hasselbeck is a free agent and he's 35.

Locker could go as high as 25 to Seattle. Hometown pick.

Unless Locker has a few years to develop, I see him turning into Alex Smith or David Carr....crash and burn.

I suspect Seattle go after speed WR.

I think he'll be a bust, so I want the Commanders to take him at 10.

I'm hoping Minny #12 or Miami #15 calls us to jump ahead of WSH to get a QB at 9.

He doesn't have the talent to "be mentioned at a [sic] 1st overall pick," otherwise he would be. What does that mean anyway?

He was projected high due to his potential, he regressed, or better put, never advanced this season.

He's an interesting prospect, but I don't think this team could afford to take a luxury pick in the 3rd round this year.

In all fairness, now that Luck is out of the picture, you could make the case. Gabbert (work ethic), Newton (true pro style QB?), Mallett (attitude, intelligence), all of the QB's now have questions.

If it were me, I'd simply take a flyer on a QB day three, maybe from a smaller school like Josh Portis from California, Pennsylvania (actual place) or Jeff Van Camp.

Admittedly I havent seen much of Blaine Gabbert. But people are sleeping on Locker and are going to regret it.

Matt Ryan didnt have a lot of help at BC either, but you could tell the tools he had

Cutler didnt pile up wins at Vandy but you can see the arm.

Just as a pure prospect I like everything Locker brings. Strong arm, mobile, tough, leader. Theres a reason he was about go to #1 last year, a bad stretch doesnt make him less talented

I've watched a lot of Jake Locker. He's not an NFL quarterback.

But he'll still go in the first round for some reason. I hope the Redsk*ns draft him.

I completely agree. He has bust written all over him in JaMarcus Russell clone colors. He's more mobile but he makes horrible decisions.

Jamarcus Russell really? The same guy who weighed 300 lbs/ by training camp?

Locker is pretty much the opposite. He has great intangibles and work ethic. He is going to absolutely wow them in interviews.

As for his picks. I would say when youre losing and have no talent around you(No Washington skill players are making any noise)then you have to take some chances to make some comebacks

If I recall I remember a few years ago he had an awesome performance and beat a top ranked USC. He then threw the ball up real fast after rushing for a TD them got one of those cheap NCAA flags for celebration.

Give this guy reps in camp and in a year or so he will be a stud.

I watch the Pac 10 all the time. There are 4 or 5 Pac 10 QBs I would take over him.

That was a game against BYU, (which I'm sure Hos watched, being a BYU fan).

Locker was thoroughly outplayed that day by Max Hall.

The following year (2009) was when Washington beat #3 USC. Locker had an average day passing then, as well, with 237 yards and no TDs. USC had a backup QB in that day and they were overrated to begin with, as USC finished the season 9-4.

The fact that you remember Locker as having an "awesome performance" is simply a product of the unwarranted hype that the media constantly heaps upon him.

Based on the games that's been played I agree it's got BUST written overall IF he is drafted in the top 2 rounds.

BUT based on his POTENTIAL (dreaded word), is he worth a 4th round pick? Does he not have more potential than McGee??

If he were allowed to developed over next 3-4 years behind Romo??? Gem? We always talk about drafting QB mid to late round and trade for a premium pick...well...??

I'm not a big fan by any means but were talking round 3. Hell yes I jump on it.

Locker has huge upside. Probably the most athletic QB in the draft. I won't be surprised if he runs a 4.5. Outstanding intangibles, good arm, needs to work on his accuracy but didn't play behind a good line or with good wr's.

A team that allows him to sit and learn for a couple of years will have a stud qb down the road.
