CowboysZone ULTIMATE Fan
I only caught the last few minutes.
Maybe there is a pod cast out there on it or will be.

But this is the time of the year for The Ticket and The Fan for me to start listening to again. Both should be at TC as usual. So should get some good insights and interviews. Plus a lot of Gordo's whacky questions.

Anyway, I missed any of his thoughts on the current team. But what he did say was that part of the 90's teams success during the SB's. There was no fighting in the locker room. Everyone got along great. Maybe some scuffles in practice, but never in the locker room.

And the entire team handled Haley. He believes that no other team could have done that except for the Cowboys. It wasn't all Jimmy controlling Haley, it was also the team.

Also the defense never got any credit, but that didn't bother them to be all that vocal. They just showed it on the field. They did not mind that Troy and Emmitt and Michael was getting all the headlines. They just went out and did their jobs.

He said he still watches as many games as he can, but not all of them. As it is hunting season as he laughed. It wasn't mentioned on the part I heard, but I am sure he is still involved with rodeos and cutting horses. I think that is the term, cutting.

Thanks for the recap!

Love Jay but I think he is wrong on this one.

You had The playmaker and the Scissors thing
You had Troy and the Deion Thing
You had Troy and the Switzer thing
Although the last two were not physical fights, there was discord in the locker room.

I've heard Haley would shut up and walk away if Erik Williams approached him.

Aikman has said the OLine were basically in control of the lockerroom.

I'd like to see who else steps up in our locker room. So far all we have is General Lee and a pocket full of Nancies.

A little bit of revisionist history going on here by Jay. Lol

Who cares about the locker room? We're not in it and barely see flashes of it. Like when Bryant had his meltdown. All we say was him pissed of, not what led to it. Drama.
I couldn't careless who's a locker room leader. I want results on the field. Where wins and losses are recorded.

Always has to be one in the crowd to get it started.
Take it for what it is worth, it has no bearing on what is going on now. However, locker room success translates to on the field success more than fans think.

Your thinking goes without saying, no matter what it still need to happen on the field. no need to dump it in this thread.

I don't sugar coat things, sorry if that's too insensitive.
Another overused phrase - Locker room success?

I love me some novacek. He and the 90s cowboys earned a lot of respect and latitude from the fans.

So if he says it was that way....I can't disagree.
Heck I'd believe anything any of those 90s cowboys said over these new ones

I'm a sucka like that. I'd also believe anything Nolan Ryan said over Hamels or Minor
