Jaycee Horn has the most ridiculous coverage resume ever

Thats the new spin to justify taking a just good CB in Horn at 10

Horn is nowhere as good as Okudah was coming out of college. He would have barely made the late first rd if Farley hadn’t had surgery
Thank you somebody finally telling the truth on this Horne hype!!! I seen both play against Clemson and we had a very tough night against Okudah in the Semi-Finals, but Horne oh we roasted his behind on several occasion with the exception of last year because we didn't play South Carolina last year. Okudah was a prototype for a corner while Horne has some great traits if you look at him closely he's one those grabbing type CB that gets away with it in college but get flagged mercilessly in the pros. I don't think his hype would have been what it is had it not been for the off year with COVID.

Wheres DeVonta Smith?

Watch his tape against Alabama...it ain’t pretty and that’s the biggest test he’s had.

Am assuming this is 2020, not 2019

Though it does lead me to wonder why didn't he cover Smith during their game.

He gave up 10 receptions all season ie 1 per game and he is barely in the top third productionwise?

Not going to pretend like I’ve watched all the snaps, or even say if the article is right or wrong. But I can only assume they are actually watching the snaps and Horn had coverage snaps where the ball wasn’t thrown his way but his man was deemed open. Which seems plausible if opposing coaches just decided to avoid Horn in general whether his man was open or not. South Carolina was awful going 2-8 and giving up 451 yards of offense despite Horn giving up little to nothing all year. Clearly there were plenty of weak spots to exploit without having to deal with Horn and risking a turnover.

But again, this is just me making assumptions trying to make sense of the article.

Yep.. if the rest of the defense sucks and teams can light it up without bothering with Horn then that doesn't mean Horn is the greatest thing since sliced bread.. It just means the other guys were just too easy to exploit.. Remember when teams rarely targeted Byron because Chido and Brown were on the other side? Nobody thought it was because Byron was Deion or Revis reincarnate.. It was because the guys on the other side stunk so bad..
