Jaydon Blue is not the answer. Hilarious.

Just watched some film on Jaydon Blue the kid has a second gear shouldn't be hard to put him in positions where he can use his speed. He reminds of Tony Pollard ,the film I watched he scored 4 touchdowns in one game 3 rushing between the tackles and 1 recieving looks pretty good to me.
If we can hit him on a screen or he gets to the 2nd level then he’s a beast. I wouldn’t be happy with Blue if we didn’t pick Booker. Steele has always been a good run blocker and Booker looks good with Beebe and Tyler Smith. He’ll have holes to run through.

Remember how good Demarco Murray was in 2014 and how bad he was 2015-retirement. Great offensive lines make average RBs look good and good RB look great.

Cowboys will have a committee approach this year. No one may get more than 10 touches in a game.

I will say going into the season I like the RB group better than this time last year. Zeke was a lazy add and Dowdle was a complete unknown. Williams and Sanders are kind of your average backs, but carry some value. Just worried about their declining ypc. To me Vaughn and Blue are the intriguing guys that I hope can carve off a bigger role.
The thing many are forgetting is just how much Booker is gonna help. We got better on offense this draft.

If someone would have told you we would have gotten Booker, Donovan E, Shavon Revel and Blue with the first 4 picks they would have said that "unrealistic" or something.

Yet here we are. Even some of our biggest haters at PFF gave us not an A, but A+.

Which team did better than Dallas this draft? Not many. This is what happens when you stick to the board.

Right now Javonte Williams is the starting RB. He checks in at 220 pounds.
Blue ran a 4.38. I wouldn't give up on him too quickly...

Known for his explosive speed and acceleration, Blue ran a 4.38 40-yard dash (95th percentile). His ability to contribute both in the running and passing game makes him a valuable asset for the Cowboys, especially as they look to add depth and versatility to their offensive arsenal. Blue’s home-state roots and dynamic skill set could make him a fan favorite in Dallas.

As long as Zeke is not on the roster it's an upgrade from last year. That was the dumbest decision this team had ever made bringing him back and expecting him to be the starter
The only thing Zeke did was run backwards all the time. Spin around and run backwards. He was just done 3 years ago.

4.28 and 4.25 at his Pro Day. 4.38 was after he slightly tore/pulled his groin.
Blue was an awesome pick!!!!!

As a UT alumni, I have watched Blue a lot and he is more physical than most think.

He ain’t Vaughn that falls over from a gust of wind, the dude can break tackles.

He is the best RB on the roster currently.

I was at Texas during the Colt McCoy years. But I've been watching Texas since Eric Metcalf's days. Blue is one of the best backs I've ever watched at UT.

Run and play action ... spot on! :hammer:

Agree!

A solid pick. Tons of video on the kid.

I think they had this kid on their list from day 1, which is why they felt safe taking the OG in the 1st.

Good stuff.

we have to go long way back to have this kind of speed at TB,Blue can be an every down Back provided he shows his has put his fumbling problems behind

Jaydon Blue on being drafted by the #Cowboys:“It was surreal, it’s still surreal…it’s a dream come true for me…for me to get a chance to play on this stage especially for America’s Team means a lot to me…”

Oh, he will be focused and directed on improving in the NFL now!

Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer when asked if the two running backs they drafted today (Jaydon Blue, Phil Mafah) are capable of being a starter: “I would hope so or otherwise we wouldn’t have drafted them.”Schottenheimer talking about the work put in during the draft process: “When I took this job I promised Jerry that no one would outwork me in this role.”

People will point to Revel and say injury guy as a reason not to like him and knock entire draft for it.

The thing is, I can't recall a draft with so many medical flags sprinkled throughout every round. You could hear it in Wolchuks voice player after player medical medical. Just a weird year for it

Williams tore all his ligaments in his knee a few years ago and hasn't been the same. Nick Chubb type injury.
So, you know more about the medical side than the Cowboys' top of the field surgeon...

Cowboys had an outstanding draft, though there wasn't the flashy WR or bell cow RB add lots of positions of need with quality guys that are going to contribute early.
