You see the problem with that statement is that the cowboys have a long history of not starting certain players at a position where the starter is not playing up to par, but the backup may be more serviceable.

The FO fascination with "we lover our certain guys" doesn't necessarily help the situation either, and is as penciled in as it gets.

Deuce Vaughn isn't a starter, but the guy got drafted based on his family connection, and received carries that should have easily went to more serviceable backs that were behind dowdle such as Malik Davis.

I mean this is a FO that fell in love with Troy Hambrick after Emmitt Smith left, and a blind man could see that he shouldn't have been starting. Woody Dantzler had more potential than that guy.

There was nothing wrong with my statement. Our starter RB left in free agency so they’ll be a competition in camp. The FO hasn’t penciled anyone in. Schotty even said during the press conference today they’ll be a competition. You build great teams by having players compete. As for Deuce his odds of making the team have gotten considerably worse. As for Troy Hambrick he made plays until he became the starter.

Watching all of the Longhorn games in his career, he only had 200 something carries. He's fresh. With that said, he's gotta step his pass blocking game up, I think that's what held him out of more looks. Furthermore, I don't have a stat for you but when Tre Wisner would get the drive Texas would stall out at some point. We Jaydon Blue would get the drive, they would score almost every drive. He's insane. Dallas has to bulk him up, teach him blocking mechanics then let him takeover the #1 back. He's not a #3 back. He's the guy you want on every drive if you like scoring points.

Me being a lifelong Longhorn fan, you explained Jaydon Blue to perfection. I totally agree. If the Cowboys can make him bulk up 8-10 pounds and improve his pass protection, he coulf easily become a 3 down starting RB.

They stuck with Zeke until Pollard established himself. Roy Williams got benched after Miles established himself against KC. Romo was playing at a high level and was making a ton of money but never got his job back after he recovered from an injury due to Dak’s outstanding play. We play our best players. As for Dak he’s our best QB. Some of you rather have anyone but him even if they suck. Lance would be our QB if it was up to some of you.

I got to see the Austin break out game in person. We were 23 rows up and he caught that game winning TD right in front of us. It was awesome.
