Not for nothing, but Romo's play didn't fall off. The injuries just got to him. That eventually happened, but the time consuming process it took the cowboys to do that, even when decline had already shown itself is unacceptable. Take Romo and now Dak for example. 8(plus years) of mediocrity for both is crazy business.
You know that Emmit was only 205 right? I'm just saying that you don't have to be a 220 lb monster to make it in the league. There are plenty of examples of smaller backs being great. What is the probability of Blue being misused? Does he have the frame to withstand the role of a starting RB?
Blue is not the same size as Gibbs, whose 200 LBS is packed into a 3-inch smaller frame, significant for a RB.
What about his propensity to fumble? Is that going to improve against much larger, quicker, and ferocious opponents than in college?
How is Blue anything more than a specialty back, the pass-catching speedster that takes advantage of a worn-down defense, courtesy of the more rugged starter?
I'm not opposed to drafting him here, but he is not the solution to the Cowboys inability to run the ball. The opportunity to acquire that guy faded when the lights were turned off after day #2.
What are we like 30 years and running now? You tell me what it was if it wasn't for nothing.....Not for nothing, but Romo's play didn't fall off. The injuries just got to him.
Faster than Bob Hayes? Here is the question. Can this new offensive line get Blue to the second level? If so, can they put him in a position to make a move and be gone?
I read somewhere Blue reminds of Pollard. I have no clue. But Blue has the similar speed as Turpin. Get him past the big boys and watch him run.
I'm not disagreeing with the franchise ineptitude, just the opinion that Romo's play dropped off. He was still very good until the injury and then Dak had the only great season of his career. What are we like 30 years and running now? You tell me what it was if it wasn't for nothing.....
Abstract comparison and defund the schools. Oh, lead the protest...You see the problem with that statement is that the cowboys have a long history of not starting certain players at a position where the starter is not playing up to par, but the backup may be more serviceable.
The FO fascination with "we lover our certain guys" doesn't necessarily help the situation either, and is as penciled in as it gets.
Deuce Vaughn isn't a starter, but the guy got drafted based on his family connection, and received carries that should have easily went to more serviceable backs that were behind dowdle such as Malik Davis.
I mean this is a FO that fell in love with Troy Hambrick after Emmitt Smith left, and a blind man could see that he shouldn't have been starting. Woody Dantzler had more potential than that guy.
Point is, this FO has a history of penciling in certain players they shouldn't, wether favorite or contract, no matter how bad they are.
No one that ever played for the Cowboys was faster then bullet Bob. I saw him play and yes I am that old.Faster than Bob Hayes?
Been around since the 'lil General led the Cowboys. Still have his autographed picture. No one that ever played for the Cowboys was faster then bullet Bob. I saw him play and yes I am that old.
PS. Zone defenses were adopted in the NFL because of his speed. No one played zone before he came in as a rookie snd ran by everyone.
Not disagreeing with that, just saying the cowboys have moved sideways if not down the majority of those 30 years.I'm not disagreeing with the franchise ineptitude, just the opinion that Romo's play dropped off. He was still very good until the injury and then Dak had the only great season of his career.
I also like Blue's ability to catch passes out of the backfield. Here is the question. Can this new offensive line get Blue to the second level? If so, can they put him in a position to make a move and be gone?

And he generated a 50 page rueage thread. We drafted RB Darius Jackson in the 6th round in 2016 and he ran a 4.35. He only lasted one season with the Cowboys.
If you believe anything else you are crazy. His dad was literally in the war room in jerrys ear. If you believe anything else you are crazy.
There wasn't one time last season where the team felt it was appropriate to trust Vaughn in any tough situation. Not even as a change of pace option. If you believe anything else you are crazy.
No. He’s the fastest Cowboy ever and fastest in NFL history.Faster than Bob Hayes?
That’s because he fumbles so much. You can run faster without a ballI hope he works out. I'm glad to finally have elite speed from an offensive draft pick. He's about the same weight as c j 2k. Ill give him a chance. He can add 6 pounds and still run 4.3.
Ohio State could not cover him out of the backfield.I hope he works out. I'm glad to finally have elite speed from a offensive draft pick. He's about the same weight as c j 2k. Ill give him a chance. He can add 6 pounds and still run 4.3.
Me too. Could be a great weapon. Just hope the naked screen isn't what they believe will be the best use of him. Or the Jet sweep.I also like Blue's ability to catch passes out of the backfield.
Maybe in reading.Faster than Bob Hayes?
