He's my favorite back in the draft. Not saying he is better than Jeanty but his potential is crazy as a runner and catcher. When he sees a hole he hits it and has true breakaway, game breaking speed. He can outrun angles.

I'd sign a guy like nick chubb or Jordan mason and draft blue in the 3rd. (I know he's projected as a 4th)

Kid is plenty fast and more rounded than folks think. At Texas they had a nice stable of backs. Any could have started anywhere.

I like the idea of signing a guy like Jordan Mason someone who may be cheaper than Rico. Although, I prefer Rico because of his vision, lateral agility, cut and finish...I don't think Mason has all that.

He better hit the buffet and weight room. Being a RB under 200 pounds is a tough way to make a living.

I think he can make a good 3rd down pass catching back along the lines of a Theo Riddick/Dion Lewis type. Not a 3rd round value though…not in this RB class.

Maybe SF is ok letting him walk, but I think Mason is a RFA so we would have to trade for him.

Him or Dylan Sampson from TN would be my choice. Sampson is a stronger runner imo. Need to see what he runs at his pro day.

Has anyone watched any tape on Phil Mafah from Clemson? Not saying I would take in rd 3, but as a 5th or 6th rd pick I think this guy could be a very good "thunder" to a "lightning" in a 2 back system. 6'1" 230# pounder with good vision and pass catching ability. Not the most nimble, but capable. Just looking for other opinions on him.

Phil Mafah is the epitome of a physical and punishing running back.
