not sure if this has been reported:

For the first time since the Dallas Cowboys drafted the linebacker in the second round last year, the media will get their prying eyes on Smith in a practice. With the altering of the organized team activity schedule this week to Monday-Wednesday from Tuesday-Thursday, Smith’s 11-on-11 work will be viewed for the first time.

Yep. I don't know how much they can actually tell from the drills... but they'll get to see him doing them I guess.

Expect a lot of breakdowns on him. A lot of opinions and analysis. Unfortunately, a lot of that analysis will likely be off base and only useful to kill time until the pads come on. Only then will we really know what we're seeing.

Yup. Until TC, we'll be hearing a lot of this:

Thanks for posting Waldo !

This, this, and this. Broaddus never liked the pick and nothing will dissuade him from the narrative he's created.

He didn't like the pick nor did most. Broaddus has nothing against Jaylon, and history shows drop foot can be a career killer. He doesn't have all the facts though.

He was also anti Bosa last year but admitted he was wrong. So he's not stubborn.

People are reading too much into this.

The guy WILL be available week one barring a setback. The team is being cautious with him but really...when do you remember any player participating while injured?

We have guys sitting out with very minor injuries. Jason values caution over anything regarding practices and injured players. The fact Jaylon is even participating part time speaks wonders in how far he has come.

He could just as easily doing rehab work but he is doing work to get him ready to play in games.

He really doesn't have any choice on the Bosa thing - it would be ridiculous to try to maintain his Bosa as an average dude stance given the on field performance. And I agree that if Jaylon goes all-Pro Broaddus will come around and be happy about it.

My only point is until that happens he will be very anti-Jaylon. And maybe that's a good "wait-and-see prove-it-to-me" stance all of us should have in this instance.

I agree. It is not coming as a surprise that Jaylon is being brought along slowly, Garrett said that before rookie mini camps even began. I have full confidence in what Jaylon himself is saying which is he will be ready game 1 to go.

Rob that is very well put and I good observation by you.

Must be a misprint. I read right here that the Cowboys were hiding Jaylon from the media by a very reliable and very loved member of this forum.

They "hide" all players coming back from injury in this way. It makes sense to not have the media who is the epitome of those who love dirty laundry second guessing those guys. Positivity counts in those circumstances.
