If Smith comes out I'm really starting to think their is a possibility we take a chance on him in the second. Not only did a Cowboys doctor operate on his knee, but his brother RB Rod Smith is currently on our roster #45

Reports are that the surgery went well, the knee damage wasn't as significant as thought (some feared nerve damage) and he should make a full recovery.

If we were to draft him in the 2nd, it'd be because of the risk/reward value at that point in the draft, not because his brother happens to be on our roster.

We don't draft players just because their relatives are on the team. But we do hire coaches and assistant coaches that way. ;)

lol I thought you were going to say we don't draft players just because their relatives are on the team, but we sure like Linebackers with bad knees!

That is good to hear. Poor kid, sickening, you are a game away from starting your NFL career, and that crap happens.

he won't last till the second. won't go early first, but won't make it out of round 1
