First, I think we can put all the nerve generated issues to bed. Safe to say he's 100% healed. With speed and confidence back, the sky is the limit for this kid. Did I see a practice clip of him running step-for-step with Beasley? Said before and will say it again, he or Byron Jones will be the team's defensive MVP and challenge for All-Pro status .........

If this is true then JJ gamble pays off. Finally. What a story this kid has. God is good. If he improves over last season then this is huge for us.

An injury is the only thing can stop this kid now......he young, motivated and hungry. Hell, he's telling people he now expects to be BETTER than he was at ND. Think there still a question of what's his best LB position......hell I say let him play all three, especially if we expect Lee to miss some time.

If he could play all 3 spots effective then it would be amazing. This will let us bring LVE in slower. If people think he is gonna come in as a rookie and light it up then they are crazy. Even Sean Lee wasn’t Sean Lee his rookie year. There is gonna he growing pains. Jaylon is gonna be a beast this year. Lee will hopefully stay healthy. Hoping we can get production from LVE but not expecting him to be as good as hitchens in his first year. Maybe as good as Wilson.

LOL all pro status for him and Byron Jones is dreaming IMHO. I have 6 years of combined evidence that tells me otherwise. Let's just hope they can be solid contributers of a passable defense.

..I like the guy, but I saw some lack of instincts on the field. I dont know if that goes with injuries? But...but....because he was supposedly not 100% I'll go with that.

#50 can be 50% percent and yet find the nose of the ball.

Ah, so you believe everything's okay because the player says so.

Ya know what he or the team doesn't say? That the nerve has regenerated. Because it hasn't. Because he's past the window for that to be a possibility. Meaning he'll never be the same.

So your comment that it's safe to say he's 100% healed is laughable. It's fan talk.

What is laughable is the notion that anyone should listen to you. You are emotionally invested in Smith's failure. Your track record in this type of situation is well established.

You’ve researched this more than most. Does the fact he no longer has drop foot or the need to wear a brace mean the nerve has regenerated?

And you, a fan, saying this with no medical experience except what you read online, is not fan talk? OK lol
