I think he means even the best get criticism. Regardless if people like him or not for any ball player it is important to not allow outside talk affect you. I do agree his focus can't be on what is taking place outside, it has to be on what he can control namely his own play. If he does not get things turned around then so be it but a player can only control what they do not what people say.

He didn't say that he was one of the best players in the world. He pointed out that "some of the best players in the world have criticism," which is true.

It's amazing when fans don't like a player how anything they say or do is wrong.
