Jaylon Smith on the radio (Gallup mention)

He was all world in 2016..went toe to toe with Aaron Rodgers. Not bad for a High school QB. ;)

True that. But he certainly hasn't looked like the same player lately and that's cause for concern. Really just looks scared, is he playing scared bc he's gotten hit so much or is it because he's afraid to turn the ball over? idk.

I think he was rusty last week...along with all the changes around him. That didn't help. Plus, lets give credit to Carolina.
Here's a man who gets it.

How many receivers are back from last year?

Plus they're reaping the reward of constantly playing Witten, giving no one else room to improve .

he is a streaky guy and dealing with wholesale changes on offense. Its gonna take time to get him confident.

Please...Romo was feeding him where to throw the football through his helmet microphone. I said this day was coming 2 years ago..the guy has been getting by on other players feeding him information. Now that he has to make the correct reads on his own....he's clueless. Because he hasn't put in the time to study. He would rather party and hang out in clubs.

And this is why I don't trust him. Parcells did the same thing w/ Quincy. Once he proved he wasn't committed to getting better...Parcells made the right hard decision to get rid of him. Sadly...I don't think we have anyone in the room that has the authority that would make that kind of decision now.

That's why I'm not giving up on Dak. Romo was essentially coaching him. I want to see him with a good coach. The thing is, he's looks worse than last year ... is it Kellen Moore?

To quote Jerry, “if he did it once he can do it again.”
DONT AGREE WITH OLE JERRY 99.9% of the time. His senility and arrogance shows. However, in this case, he is right. Dak didn't forget how to play the position. Teams adjusted to him...Linehan did not. Then factor in an entire new cast of wr's around him, then you see why he is hesitant on some throws. Practice reps have been limited...and sitting out most of preseason games didn't help matters. Its going to take 4 weeks to get him to gel with the newbies. Much change has taken place in the offseason.

I think Romo got too much credit and too much blame. That's the nature of the position. Same is true with Dak. Its no doubt Romo helped Dak,but its a big stretch to say he was feeding him reads and such in real time games.Plays happen in a "bang bang" time frame. No time to think. You process your reads and let it fly. If your thinkin at QB instead of making your progressions, you will look like Dak did last week...awful. Linehan needs to help his QB and the new wideouts. Dak needs confidence.

How bout getting Gallup more reps if hes killing it in practice?
that is a great point and I think this will happen this week. We can't expect to flip a switch though, especially with an entire new set of wideouts outside of beasely and Williams. Patience grasshoppers.

i agree. They were a playoff team and when kuechley is on the field they’re a better team than a lot thought on here

on the telecast Thursday , Aikman even alluded to preseason needing shortened so teams don't get overly cautious and sit out all the starters...thus missing game reps and starting off rusty. He said its a real problem. He's right. The product suffers as a result. Its a bad look on the field for the NFL. We wont see teams starting to gel for about 2-3 more weeks as a result. Basically teams use the first couple of real games to find the chemistry because of the stupid preseason games.

In the 90's when starters could get tons of reps in practice and prior to free agency, you would see teams gel week 1..now its way harder to start fast out of the chute. The product is watered down. Still entertaining, but circling the drain at times. This is what happens when A LAWYER is hired to run things.

Considering you thought freaking Kellen Moore (you know the guy telling him where to put the ball now) was going to kick Romo out of his starting spots gives you absolutely no credibility when speaking anything QB related. LOL

He was on 103.3 and they asked him what player is flying under the radar that everyone’s waiting on to really blow up and do something and his immediate answer was Michael Gallup.

He said Gallup has a chance to be awesome and does some incredible things in practice and when he establishes himself he could be a playmaker for them.

I’m paraphrasing.

You know I love that kid Catch.

The thing that bothers me about this is that the uncreative ******* coaches cant get the best out of any of the good players on the team.

We can talk who's good until the cows come home but as long as they are playing under imbeciles like Garrett and linehan they wont go anywhere anytime soon.

Considering the seasons Dak and Zeke and several O-Linemen and Beasley had in 2016, under the same coaches, it really doesn't make sense to say these coaches can't get the best out of players. They haven't done it as consistently as they need to, but lets not act as if no player has every had a great year under coaches.

The fact that he posted this idiotic video of several people, none of who can even be said to look like Dak Prescott, and none of whom can be identified as smoking pot, damages his credibility enough, but if he actually said Kellen Moore was going to beat Romo out of his job, that puts him at yet another level of ridiculous.
