Any details on the numbers? Incentives? Is this year based on if he plays any or stays on PUP, then to IR type stuff?

what is the rule on "redshirting"? i thought i remembered the niners doing something like this with a draftee so that the first year of the contract didn't really start until he was healthy?

Pretty sure it's slotted just like any other rookie contract...his injury will have no real bearing on the numbers.

If he stays on NFI for a certain number of games (10,12?), he doesn't get full season "credit" earned towards free agency, so it'd be like a 5+ year contract. Same also applies for retired and suspended lists, IIRC.

I'll bet you Prescott gets the same treatment.

No cubicle for our future at QB.

That will say a lot if he gets that treatment.

Rico Gathers has signed also. I bet he got the broom closet like the others.

:banghead:Jaylon Smith is a waste of a 2nd round pick and money. Just my opinion.
