Jaylon Smith wins the Ed Block Courage Award

Was expecting bigger things so far but credit to the young man for the hard work. I get a headache and wanna quit my job

I think some people, including myself, had their expectations too high.

He shouldn’t have been a starter day one, that’s not his fault though. Regardless, I am not sure what people expected from a player coming back from a horrific injury, playing football for the first time in almost two years and adapting to the NFL game.

We should have expected a rusty player that is obviously not 100% and adapting to pro ball but improves as the year goes on. I think he has met those expectations.

It wasn't Jaylon I was mad about, it was the FO and coaches for not having a backup plan had Hitch or Lee gotten hurt. It was ridiculous to think they wouldn't, or at least Lee. Even had they stayed healthy all season we needed more depth. Wilbur is not depth........poor planning, and hope gets this team in trouble far too often!
