Jaylon Smith

Okay... so let’s say that Smith never becomes an all-star LB, but does become a good player who has a solid 8-10yr career as a starter for DC.

Might Jaylon then still be considered worth the investment of his high draft-position and extra development time (keeping in mind that plenty of 2nd rounders never pan out)?

I’m inclined to say yes.

If you get a guy that can handle the MLB position for 8 years and give you solid, steady, strong play there yeah I'd say that's a good return on a 2nd round pick.
