Looked absolutely lost out there.
Isn't attacking blockers or holes and us waiting for runners to initiate contact.
Seems slow to react taking false steps.

He gets a mulligan for yesterday though because the interior DL didn't help at all in protecting him but I hope yesterday isn't the norm. Kid deserves better because if his heart

Only his 2nd game but I agree he looked horrible, this is going to be a very long and depressing year

He looked like he didn't trust his footing on the slick surface. Actually the whole defense looked that way and played slow.

Not sure if we just played our hearts out last week against the Giants and had nothing in the tank or we are just this inept. Jaylon is way down on my list of issues after playing the Broncos.
He should get better over time. This was his SECOND game. There will be other bad games for the D however-get ready. The Packers and Falcons could score a lot and run up a ton of yards. The secondary is young and may lack elite talent. Time will tell. We have guys on the DL who disappear at times and there is a talent deficit on the line for sure-cast offs from other teams rarely work out. We play a tougher schedule this year and there will be no easy games and 13 wins is not realistic.

That the silver lining in this game. We didn't suffer any really significant injuries and for that I cant be too mad cuz the conditions was there.

Denver hands down is better on both sides of the ball, and rightly so, they handed our tails to us. We will beat the bad teams and lose to the good teams. Denver and the whole AFC West is on another level.

I'm now starting to think the Igglets might be a tough series for us based on what I've seen from their defense and offense. I think the Igglets well designed trick plays will give our young DLs and DBs fits. We've got a loooonnngggg season ahead of us. I still see us in the playoffs somehow some way o_O

LOL, If only having heart mattered. There are lots of guys with just as much heart as he has but never even got the breaks he got to play poorly as he did yesterday. Your assessment of him is on target so I don't agree with the mercy you extend to him. He is as deserving as anyone for their share of the blame on the debacle in Denver. He is in good company as this was a team loss. The D has work to do to get better and Jaylon should be included in the thick of it.

Everybody on defense not named Lawrence had a horrendous game. They were so bad in so many places I cant even tell you the kind of game Jaylon played, I wasnt keying on him.

Until Jaylon is 100%, he needs the guys around him to excel so he can feed off of them. That didn't happen yesterday. He's not ready to lead yet. Speaking of leaders, was that Sean Lee's worst game ever?

The truth is usually in the middle. We are never as bad as we look in a loss or as good as we look in wins.
This is a 1 possession league 95% of the time. Yesterday was the 5%.

I thought Sean Lee had a worse game. Both will be fine, though.
