Eastern Washington RB Taiwan Jones was questioned why he would come out early despite having back to back All-America seasons while only playing running back for two seasons. He might have quieted all the skeptics today at his private workout.


According to sources, Jones measured in at 6'0, 196 pounds, and ran in the 4.25-4.37 in the 40-yard dash. He had a 41 1/2 inch vertical but they said he shuffled so they only gave him 39 1/2. He also had a 11'0 broad jump, 4.05 short shuttle, and 6.6 3-cone.

Note, this is one of my pet cats, kinda small back but elite speed, could really push felix jones to round out and get better. Injury prone, but an idea 3rd down back. :starspin

Intangibles: Has struggled with injuries throughout his career. Experienced kick and punt returner. Returned a kickoff 93 yards for a touchdown in 2008 and had an 85-yard score called back due to penalty in 2009. Has been described by scouts as immature and naive.

APA league source tells PFT’s Mike Florio that Eastern Washington running back Taiwan Jones ran a 4.33 forty time at his individual Pro Day Thursday.

NFL scouts routinely add time to Pro Day forty-yard dashes based on perceived speed of surface. It’s still an impressive number, and will generate plenty of attention around the league.

I dont have a digital camera, I am going to try and see if KTRE wants to interview me like they did last year. If they do, probably a day or 2 before the NFL Draft.

Other than that, i do have a webcam, will try to hook that up and see if it works to record.

My pet cat also. Not suprised by the strong workout and he was smart to push it until he was fully healed.

Barber looks done as a runner but is a reliable blocker. Choice is an enigma. I want only one of them to make the team. I believe our short yardage/goal line rushing will improve when the line improves, so I like the idea of adding another breakaway threat- getting a Felix Jones to back up Felix Jones.

Taiwan may be better off as an X back. Slot receiver who motions into the backfield on occasion.

His forte is catching and running after the catch.
