When I see what the Cowboys are doing on offense it makes me so upset that we are stuck with old conservative Gibbs who insists on running up the middle or throwing the ball out of bounds as soon as the Skins get any kind of lead in a game. If we didn't who a coach who was afraid of his own shadow then maybe our offense could close to the level of the Cowboys.

Dallas goes for the kill and doesn't let up. When throwing deep early works it's not abandoned for constant 3 yard check down passes and goaline run formations at our own 30 yard line.

Have fun in the playoffs this year. I'll be sitting at home just like Gibbs and the rest of the Commanders as we blow 4+ 10 points leads again and finish at 6-10.

Send Gibbs out to pasture and hire Ted Cottrell, that way you can mimic what Dallas did, retire a outmoded 80s classic and sign San Diego's defensive coordinator.

Good luck finding a Garrett and a Romo however.

More talent on that Dallas defense than the Skins as well.

The skins have shot in the East NYG and Dal being your only competition, the eagles stranglehold on the division is at an end all their playmakers are showing their age. Your team has absolutely no confidence in any of the role players, albeit expensive ones, on the squad. Santana and Antawan are the only 2 wr that have caught a pass for your squad to date and you may be signing yet another WR in McCardell. Your defense is decent not sold on your D-Line your running backs are pretty good but your O-Line is decimated and all those years of trading picks away for has beens and never weres has shown itself, instead of young guys that would use this time to build experience you have old guys. The good thing is you guys find a way to win and that could go a long way in the NFC this year.

Your complaints sound like ours the last few years with BP at the helm. You might just have a head coach who tends to stick his hands in everything and attempts to keep it all conservative so that you can "pull one out at the end".

It's NICE right now that we have a coach who lets the players play and the coaches coach, but man, everything you're saying sounds just like us the last few years.

I was about to post something very similar to this.

I really want to compliment you for saying good things about our team, but I can't find it in my heart to say something nice to a skins fan, so i'll just keep my trap shut for now. :)

As much as I love seeing the Skins lose, and as much as the fan drive me absolutely insane, there is a small morsel of my pscyhe that feels bad for Commanders fans.

You've got an over-involved owner making all the bad decisions with good intentions(can relate re: late '90s), you've got an overly conservative HC whom shows every sign of the game having passed him by (can relate re: the last 3 years), you've got a vastly over-rated DC (can relate re: Zimmer), and you've got a mediocre QB (can relate re: Carter, Hutch, Stoerner, Leaf, Wright, Henson). Hell, last year you had a mirage fluke playoff year as well (can relate re: 2003 season).

Y'all are going through what we've spent the last decade going through. And while it all might still come crashing down for us this year still, it's been ages since I've felt the optimism I feel right now. It's been so long, I'd forgotten how to be confident going into Sunday....forgotten how to *know* that your team can win and to have that swagger.

With the exception of the respectful thread starter I find Commander fans on the internet to be preposterous creatures, by and large juvenile and sophomoric if not infantile in their grasp of the game, the blinders of denial they strap on during the course of the season are simply downright astonishing, they bring to mind the murmurings of Hitler in his bunker denying the inevitable defeat at hand.

Not to mention that by and large they are odoriferous, infectious, and only comfortable in dark and moist settings. They are also known by their other name, H. pylori, which means every time you punch yourself in the stomach, you are killing some of them.

You really think that Washington has a chance in heck of finishing as high as 6-10? Wow! You are a fan!

from ES:

Dear Antonio Ramiro (Tony) Romo,

This is an open letter to tell you how much I hate you. Hate is a strong word, severe dislike is probably more accurate, but you play for the Dallas Cowboys, so hate is what you get. You'll probably never read this, maybe some of your troll fans will, but hopefully you can pick up the vibe when you visit December 30th.

My beloved team, the Commanders, has had some success against the Cowboys the past two years. Before that, it was a dark time, a time that I never want to revisit. One recent constant however, was that we could be pretty sure a Cowboys quarterback wouldn't personally beat us. Sure, an aging Emmitt Smith would still somehow rumble for 150 yards against us (out of his 600 total for the season) but we wouldn't have to worry about Quincy Carter or Drew Bledsoe.

Now you have taken that comfort from me, and this is why I hate. I hate you for being an undrafted free agent in 2003. Couldn't you have at least cost the Cowboys a draft pick? I'm not asking for much here, but maybe a 3rd rounder, possibly a 4th? I hate you for replacing Drew Bledsoe, who was guaranteed to shoot the Cowboys in the foot at least once or twice a game, and dependably be in the pocket on every play for our D-Line to tee off on.

I hate you for being a scrambler who makes plays. I especially hate it when the ball gets snapped over your head, you kick it another ten yards, and then you turn and scramble and still make a first down. If you're going to scramble like that, can't you at least have a 45% completion rate like Michael Vick used to?

I hate you for being relatively young, and leaving the Cowboys set at the QB position for years. I hate your damned smiling, happy-go-lucky press conferences, where you fire off jokes and act like you don't have a care in the world. I hate the smiling, happy-go-lucky faces you make on the bench during the game when you've thrown another touchdown, that everything is going so damned perfect for you.

I hate the fact that though Jason Campbell will eventually be a better quarterback than you are, he's not quite there yet. I hate that I have to deal with it. Revenge will be sweet, but it's a little ways off.

I hate the fact that you are (or were) nailing Carrie Underwood and I'm not, because DAMN!

Most of all, I hate the fact that you and your team are 4-0 and look pretty good this year. After the past couple of years, and the way my Commanders are coming together, I was pretty confident that we could take you. Five minutes behind the bleachers and we'd have your lunch money and given you a black eye for posterity. Now I'm forced to consider alternate possibilities, and I don't like having to do that.

That Mr. Romo, is why I want Andre Carter to wear your spleen for a hat. It's why I envision the Commanders wearing all white uniforms with a touch of red, the red being spatters of blood from your broken nose. December 30th, you're coming to our house, and I want you as uncomfortable as possible without bringing spinal injuries into it (I'm not that angry.) Please do me a favor and don't show up that day. I will send Mike Sellers to your hotel room the night before if necessary, but don't show up. I smell blood...your blood...and I want my Commanders to bathe in it.

Yours

but they have injuries on the oline and a front office that.........:p: . IF they hire Ron Wolf out of retirement, get a progressive head coach and some real NFL receivers, they can be pretty stout in a couple years. It may sound far fetched but it's possible. Let's hope the midget doesn't see the light.

Romo will get the day off when Dec. 30 comes around. It will be like an exhibition game.

Nope, the vast majority of ES fans believe Campbell has better physicall attributes and more upside than Romo.
