Hypothetically you make logic. Good point. But Jeanty running isn't going to improve his stock anymore than it is. We know what he is, WE THINK. But Johnson just needs to show his wheels are fine lol plus he stands to make big money by running.

Jeanty's balance and tackle breaking is at a superpower level that we just don't often see. You start reaching for comparisons like Alvin Kamara, Lynch, LaDanian Tomlinson, etc, because he's in that kind of rarefied air.

Hampton is a big, fast dude with a well-rounded game, but nothing about him says "we won't see this for another 2 or 3 draft classes".

That said, I’d be a touch nervous about the level of competition for Jeanty and the number of carries last season.

IMO, Jeanty is better and it's not close. Probably irrelevant, he won't be there at 12.

A perfect world for me would be a tradedown and drafting a back in the 2nd or 3rd. This team is too far away for one RB to make all the difference when it counts.

unless a top five talent falls to us I am all for trading down to say 20 and getting an extra 2nd at least.
I would personally grab Grant if he is there at 20. Second rd I would use one for RB and the other on the lines or at LB.
This team needs A LOT MORE TALENT and its not all going to come from this draft

Kamara is a great RB at what he is asked to do.

Hes not a bell cow line it up and cram the ball down the defenses throat type of RB.

He’s overrated!

Once again, compare their numbers. He has more rushing yards, receiving yards, and TDs than McCaffery and they were from the same draft class.
