I was trying to figure out why I was still pissed about a game that didn't matter.:laugh2:

At least I own my mistakes unlike most posters around here. :laugh2:

You cannot be serious. Insanity.

Dead serious.

Insanity was bringing Wade Phillips back and expecting a different result. I bought into the talk for a little while to.

If you can't blame the coach for going 0-6 and losing 59-0 to a team then what the hell can you blame a coach for?

Exactly

I have never been a Jeff Fisher fan. He's overrated in my book. I don't like his philosophy. I don't know if I can express it well, but to me he plays the kind of style that by design succeeds in the regular season (as a pattern), but isn't really designed to go the distance. (Super Bowl Champion)

I would put his style into the same mold as Marty Schottenheimer.

Strong defense. Run the ball A TON. Pass just enough to keep them off balance. Be VERY conservative.

Gets you a lot of regular season wins, but as a pattern, year in and year out, I don't think its a championship formula.

Fisher will find a new defensive coordinator after the season, find a qb with a high first round pick or undervalued free agent, and they'll be back in the thick of things next year.

He's done as much with less as any coach in the NFL (what he did with that roster last year was astonishing), but it's probably time of a change of scenery for both sides. He's been with the same franchise for 15 years. There's no shame in the fact that maybe things have gone stale. Sometimes a franchise just needs a new voice, and a coach just needs a new environment.

And, yes, the Philly loss with the playoffs on the line was elventy billion times more embarassing than what the Titans did today when they fully realize they have one of the worst teams in the NFL.

Fisher is part of the problem this year for them, no doubt, but their players just aren't playing good and now, for three straight games, they're not even really trying anymore.

You can tell the last three games, as they've played worse and worse, that those guys have pretty much given up and packed it in on the year. A coach can only do so much and one of the things a coach can not do is keep his players from simply giving up on a season. The Titans as a whole have given up.

As long as I live, I will never, ever understand the adoration for Fisher. Just because a grown man can rock a moustache does not a good head coach make.

No question that was an epic fail also.

And it should have cost the coach his job.

Haha...you can't blame him! He's Jeff Fisher!

But give up a couple passing TDs and still win the game and WADE PHILLIPS HAS TO GO!!

way more embarrassing. Hell Tenn season is over, we we're playing for a playoff spot. Both teams flat out quit.

No way. There is no way it's more embarrassing when Tennessee just lost 59-0 with 6 PASSING TDs BY BRADY IN A SNOWSTORM.

They got to the point early enough where they gave up, and the Patriots started running up the score on them after that. Not surprising. They gave up pretty early. You can't coach your team not to be quitters.

I think the Pats were kind actually. They could have run up 80 or 90 points if they really wanted to.

We'll just have to agree that you're wrong.

Quit with playoffs on the line. Massive embarrassment
Quit with 1st pick of draft on the line. Brilliant

Who's agreeing, unless "we" means you've got multiple personalities?

1. Our team didn't quit against the Eagles. They pulled out all the stops, even had Witten throwing a pass to try and get ANYTHING going. EVERYTHING went wrong that game.

2. To suggest that a team would quit to try and get the first pick in the draft is absolute hogwash. Quit to try and get the first pick, yet possibly jeopardize your coach's job as well as jeopardize your franchise by risking possible blackouts?

Right. But I'm wrong

Hopefully there isn't a single player, or coach, in the league who thinks like you do. It would be very sad to believe anyone would quit for the 1st pick.

The fact that such a thought was even in your head makes me glad that you're not part of any team, especially the Cowboys.
