No link. I heard this afternoon on the local radio WDAE that Jeff Garcia is replacing FAvre in the Pro Bowl. I am sure that means that Romo will start.

What happened to The Farva?

And yeah, it'll be between Romo and Hasselbeck and I think he's still banged up.

FAvre hates going to Hawaii and makes any excuse he can to stay away. He says the first time he was elected he cried he was so happy. He says the last time he was elected he cried too because he didn't want to go.....

If elected, players should be required to go. Favre is a ****ing piece of **** for selling the league short.

I will be sure and foward him the memo. I don;t think there should be any requirement. Its not that there is anything he has to prove by going. Nor should anybody be required to go. I would bet the WR or was it a RB from New England that ruined his career in an injury there a few years ago would like the chance of a do-over

Please. If the league wants the pro bowl to be taken seriously, they need to start by fixing the voting system.

How do you fix it?

The coaches and players vote. Which counts 2/3. We get 1/3. Not sure how you can fix it uless you let the sports writers do it, and they do a great job with the HOF already.

FAVRE TO SKIP PRO BOWL
Posted by Michael David Smith on January 24, 2008, 6:46 p.m.
Packers quarterback Brett Favre is sitting out the Pro Bowl.

It’s not clear what Favre’s reason is for skipping the league’s all-star game, although many players who don’t feel like playing in the game cite minor injuries as a reason to get out of it.

With Favre out of the Pro Bowl, it raises the question of whether we’ve seen him on the football field for the last time. Although Favre has indicated that he expects to play the 2008 season, he hasn’t said definitively that he is returning. Packers coach Mike McCarthy has said he expects to hear Favre’s decision in the next seven to 10 days.

Favre was named the NFC’s starter when Pro Bowl rosters were released last month. It is not known whether Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck or Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo will take Favre’s place as the starter on the NFC team.
Buccaneers quarterback Jeff Garcia has been added to the roster as the NFC’s third quarterback. The Buccaneers had previously been in the unusual position of being a playoff team without a Pro Bowler.

Replace fans with ex-players and HOF members.

Speaking of replacing fans, lets do away with the fan calling a play as well.
