I know this is just a fluff piece, but I would bet most players aren't this ambitious.

Glad we got him locked up for two more seasons after this on the cheap. He's getting paid like a special teamer, but I think he has a breakout season.

If only he was able to drill Rodgers just a little harder on that blitz. And if Claiborne did not commit that stupid penalty. He would be a literal hero right about now.

How Rodgers hung onto that ball was pretty amazing. Some BS too! Heath was the only one to show up in that secondary. He's only 25, I think he's going to surprise Alot of us this year

Heath was at one time a CZ whipping boy.....which was always for the wrong reasons, IMO. He has a chance (and the skill set) to be a real contributor and bright spot in this defense.

His athleticism is often underrated or overlooked as well.

Really, he was a small school guy thrusted into the starting lineup a little too quickly. We'll see if the time he's had to develop will pay off.

And the dude definitely has a knack for making plays. He had more "splash" plays from the safety position than say Byron or Barry, both of which played a ton more snaps.

I don't think he is a starter in the NFL. He is pretty much bottom of the player pool. They need to draft someone next year with the top pick. I like Derwin James.

Yes, let's spend yet another premium choice on a DB.

......he could add tape from the Steelers T.Palomo and Darren Woodson, Ed Reed..........they just knew within a count after the snap where the ball was going........always in the middle of the play action.....

I'm happy for Heath after seeing him come up through the ranks for the C'boys. He did it the hard way with the ST units where he stood out as one of our best players there. He then steadily improved each year, displaying good coverage and ball skills for the last two years.

I'm sure most of us are looking forward to seeing what he can do this year as well. He's paid his dues, no doubt about it! I wish him well. He'll finally be afforded the opportunity to get retribution for all the kneejerk abuse he received here. Unfortunately, he was thrust prematurely into duty long before he was ready to do so.

Agree with all of this.

The Heath-hate on here was always knee jerk IMO.

Lots of folks COMPLETELY ignored the fact that he was a small school kid with very nice measurables, who is a good football player but tossed to the wolves as a rookie.

Kid has PROVEN on the field that he can be a hitter, can find the ball, and can make plays.

I've said it before and I'll say it again- kid made more "splash" plays in spot duty than full timers like Barry and Byron have made for us.

Yeah. Heath is a good, solid Cowboy. Not ever player is destined to be an All Pro. Teams need grinders too.
