Jeff Heath vs Adrian Peterson

Rewatching it...it does look like Heath May have taken him down one on one if the Cowboys and Vikings players didn’t jump in.

Thanks for posting.
he was about to dump him
Peterson was off his feet and stopped but 52 whats his name drives Heath back enough and the tightend holds Peterson up
it was a great effort sure but Heath had him

I remember that play and recall 86 for the Vikings never getting the proper credit for carrying Peterson into the end zone. But when announcers want to go with a storyline to drum up emotion about a player's greatness no one's gonna stop them. Maybe Joe and Troy post on here, lol. It's like that blocked FG attempt the Cardinals had against us where they credited Witten with running down Patrick Peterson when it was actually the kicker or holder that took a great angle to keep Peterson from turning on the jets.

Edit: It was Bailey that took the good angle

The #38 would clip his running gears should the exact replicated scenario present itself, like perhaps even like, last week or maybe even ,tomorrowo_O

* that's my rendition of ODDBALL from 'Kelly's Heroes',,,,*wuff, wuff*,,,that's my other dog impressiono_O

Been saying that since the play happened and fans were talking about how Heath got run over by Peterson.

I wondered if most fans even see what happens on the field without the announcers bringing it to their attention. If they hear on TV that Peterson ran him over, then by God, Heath got trucked.

It was plain as day that Peterson was going to end up flat on his back before the other players came along and pushed/carried AD forward.

Yup I remember thinking that it was impressive that an UDFA was close against AD and Megatron in the first place who were elite back then. The board trashed him over it for years though.

86 did carry AD into the endzone
worse watch Kyle Wilber, he stands there like spectator as AD runs by then when Heath stops him he sorta runs over and stands there too finally falls against the pile helping Peterson score
Church did almost nothing
in the 2nd angle watch only Heaths arms
after he has AD in the air he goes through motion of throwing him down on his ***, but 86 picks him up and carrys him forward
hes also the only one to rip at the ball
he made a great effort he just got no help but nothing i would be ashamed of thats for sure

yeah they just fed him to Megatron
that was as bad coaching or worse as the Chaz Green sack debacle last year

That team was talent poor to say the least. Laurence, Sims, and other scrubs all over the place.

I been up and down on Heath but more up on him as a situational player all along.

Ever since Kirk Cousins was laying on the ground after getting knocked down by Heath. Then Cousins extended his arm as Heath stood over him as if heath was going to help him up. Heath just looked at him and turned and walked away. Leaving Cousins on the ground.

We needed that attitude back then, as we had no one like that, and we still need it now. Take no prisoners approach.

I think that was Heath's rookie year, or maybe his 2nd year.

This happened right in front of me in the end zone, it was super frustrating to get on line after the game and see heath getting trashed. Literally every other player and coach deserved to get trashed as nobody helped, we all just stood around and watched it happen. We made Christian ponder look like a good QB that day. But our moron fans trash a rookie undrafted because he couldn't finish a solo tackle to prevent a TD against the best running back in the league. I was super proud of heath and disgusted with our team that day even though we won and I was looking forward to what you guys had to say about it but I learned my lesson that day; learned that most of you literally can't process the information you receive without ******* it up. I used to come on here to enjoy comradery but after this game I just come here for the news and to see what dumb *** opinions our stupid ******* fans hold.

Was a great open field hit. Got Peterson off his feet.

Only to see our LB do nothing and #86 carry AP to the end zone.

exactly overblown highlight reel saying AP blew him up..his teammates came over and set him back down and shoved him into the EZ..its wasn't spectacular at all..they made a lot about nothing

I wish they would enforce a quicker whistle when it becomes a scrum. Once ball carrier progress has stopped, others shouldn't be allowed to carry them forward.
