Just curious. How does everyone think Heath played in week 1? Does Donavan Wilson replace him by mid season?

Can't comment on his coverage skills in game 1 but he can definitely bring the wood when given the opportunity

The Heath hate around here is ridiculous. Did he miss a tackle yesterday? Yes. Have many been able to tackle Saquan one on one? No. He comes to work, does his job soundly and is never responsible for a loss. If anything he’s helped win some games.

Not good IMO. His coverage skills are still lacking, that is something that is going to improve at this point in his career. To me he is a 50/50 guy, either he will make a huge play or he will give up a huge play.

Safety is typically one of the harder positions to grade during the live telecast, but he seemed to be on par for heath.

Some good, some bad. Probably more effort than talent. Played reckless at times and hit lve pretty ugly once. I wish he were a rotational safety, amd not a starter.

Well in the rams playoff game his whiff did cost us a bit.

He had some good plays but the angle he took on Barkley on that 59 yard run was really bad. He's been in the league way too long to be making that kind of mistake. Wasn't his fault that the running lane was there but it was his fault that it went from what should have been 15 yards gain to 59. That was terrible.

Jeff Heath is always fun to judge.

As a in the box, making hits, dime/st guy, he’s great.

Playing safety and chasing backs and receivers ... not so much.

Hopefully when Wilson is healthy Heath can do what he does best.

He still takes terrible angles, the Barkley long run was some of his responsibility as well.

I thought he was one of our best players on defense yesterday. Vander Esch was the best.

I wondered when someone was going to bring up the GOAT. He made plays. didn't see anything to ding him over. Wilson showed a lot of promise so I think he will rotate in when healthy. Doubt he replaces Jeff unless he is just balling out.

He was good in coverage terrible everywhere else.
What about the hit on SB in the backfield where they ruled incomplete pass?

I thought they all got caught in some bad positions on several of the Giants successful run plays.
