Jeff Ireland coming on Talkin' Cowboys (dc.com)

They are talking about Tyson Thompson now. Ireland likes him. Reminds us (the listeners) that Thompson came out as a JR, made the team, and didn't have time to sit back and learn.

Happy with Thompson's improvement. Getting to the second level now; not just making one cut and running.....using vision better.

Really not a need for a 2 gapping NT. A lot of versatility in Spears, Ratliff, Ayodele, even Bowen, Ola....they are doing a good job there.

Keeping an eye on it (but he isn't too worried about it)

He's scrutinizing QB and NT the most on this roster this offseason.

Thanks for the recap Vintage.

Can you elaborate on this statement?

Thanks in advance.

What I get out of that is they're prolly going to churn that 3rd QB spot.

He said that it didn't matter how many QBs you had, even if you had 3 or 4 [good ones], you always look at that position.

Like WG said, he was implying roster churning at the 3rd QB spot or so.

As for the NT stuff, he said he wasn't worried too much because Wade's scheme doesn't need a true 2 gap NT and that Ratliff has done well there in the past and that he likes some of the younger guys like Ayodele/Ola and that Bowen has done ok there (Spears could too).

Hopefully, they'll be able to churn that 2nd spot.

Stick a fork in Brad Johnson. He's finished.
