If Smith and Tapper come back 100%, plus Gregory can stay away from the bong, could really alter our draft strategy. Maybe we end up going WR, TE, and DB with our top picks.

I sure hope, in your case, that a top WR last that late in Rd 1 then......

I still have a hard time believing Jaylon is anything more than 50/50 and at best based on where he is and where he should be this far removed from surgery. I hope I'm wrong though...

I think a lot of people are blind to the truth here. By September, the nerve was supposed to have had enough time to fully regrow and could start firing at any time thereafter. I remember posting that if nothing happened by Thanksgiving, I would start to worry. It's now New Years and he is still wearing the brace. Not good. I would actually put it at less than 50% at this point. Of course everyone is still going to be positive and say they expect him to play next year. I think it will take a full 3 years for them and him to give up. I hope he fully heals and plays next year but everyday that goes by without that nerve waking up means it's less likely that it ever will.

I'd add OT to that too. Tyron's back worries me,Frees getting up there in age and Green can't stay healthy

I wonder who the top 4 were.
Probably & in this order:
1. Zeke Elliott
2. Joey Bosa
3. Jalen Ramsey
4. Laremy Tunsil or DeForest Buckner

Just guessing, or course. The fact that by next year, they will have two of their top five players from the 2016 draft class in training camp next year is pretty amazing. Add Dak, Maliek, & Anthony Brown, & this has to be one of the all-time draft classes in team history.

Is there confirmation that he is still wearing the brace? Didn't someone just run into him and said he looked good and walking fine? I haven't seen anything to suggest that he's less then 50/50. I think it was pie in the sky to think he'd be back this year, but they sound confident that he will be good for 2017

There was another leaked board this year:

Remember this is the scouts board before the coaches get their say, which is why Tapper was taken earlier than some other players they listed higher in the 4th and Marinelli was reported to have not had much interest in Bosa.

http://www.bloggingtheboys.com/2016...as-cowboys-2016-draft-board-possibly-revealed

1st
1. Ezekiel Elliott
2. Jalen Ramsey
3. Laremy Tunsil
4. Joey Bosa
5. Jaylon Smith
6. Myles Jack
7. Carson Wentz
8. Leonard Floyd
9. Jared Goff
10. Sheldon Rankins
11. Shaq Lawson
12. Paxton Lynch
13. Vernon Hargreaves
14. Eli Apple
15. DeForest Buckner
16. Ronnie Stanley
I've never heard that about Bosa. Since Joey will probably be DROY, I believe Rod is rethinking his position, if he had it to begin with.

I asked Broaddus on Twitter and he confirmed the brace is still there.
