@nickeatman: CB Mike Jenkins has arrived at Valley Ranch for the 3-day minicamp. He won't practice because of the shoulder, but won't be fined either.

Hopefully his attitude is good while he's here.

Yeah today and if it's open to media expect an interview on dc.com by 6 ish later on, all eyes will be on him even if he is going to be on sidelines.

Hopefully being back around his teammates may help that

I'm glad he's at least here. I know the players will let him know he's needed and wanted amongst them. Hopefully the positive attitude that's going around affects him as well.

I love this conditioned assumption that Jenkins somehow doesn't have a good attitude or is disgruntled in any way. We have yet to hear anything but second and third hand reports about him this offseason. He's here when he was supposed to be. Im sure he's ready to work out and get his rehab done and get back on the field. Lets give the man a chance before we go off about how he has a bad attitude and doesn't want to compete and all this other garbage that i heard the moronic Dallas area writers reporting about the guy.

I'd love to know how far along the shoulder is, if we're going to keep him then he needs to be healthy enough to play or what was the point?

Did I miss something?

What is all this stuff about Jenkins being a cancer.......attitude problem? etc.

It amazes me on how we peg players because of a few actions they committed......

Jenkins gave up on a tackle......= Jenkins is soft and a poor tackler and not a team player ever....and will always be...

Jenkins doesnt show up for OTA's and has asked to be traded because of his current contract status.....and all of a sudden....he is selfish....a cancer and has a attitude problem.

But for all the years he has been a Cowboy.....he has played hard most of the time....played thru major injuries that would of shelved other CB's in this league......and I havent heard of any legal problems....any issues with coaches or other players....etc

But to some......he is a cancer and has a attitude problem.

I wonder what people said when E.Smith held out.....and missed regular season games.....not OTA's

He's only here to avoid being fined...

Maybe the fact that he was the 'one player' that wasn't here when everyone else was?

It's great that he's here when it's mandated that he be here. Hopefully it's a positive step that continues.

I for one am more then willing to see/listen to what Jenkins is saying. It's easy for some things to be taken out of context or misspoken. Also really wonder how his rehab is coming alone. It's been almost 6 months since the season ended & read/heard that he hasn't rehabbed in Dallas/VR but back in FL. Would have preferred for him to rehab & work out in Dallas. We shall see. In any case, at least he's finally at VR.

Why is this a surprise? This is mandatory and he'd been fined substantially for missing it.

Jenkins has given up on MORE than one tackle. While he played through injury, I think he's definitely mentally soft. Why ask for a trade? That's saying "I'm too scared to fight for my job, and I've already given up" to me. Ge gained a LOT of respect from myself for playing through injuries last year, but not rehabing in Texas, asking for a trade, and general *****-like behavior recently, has caused me to lose all that respect.

Oh, you must be new. You haven't seen how quickly fans turn on a Cowboy once they get a new toy? :laugh2:

:laugh2: No doubt .....

I bet, when Jenkins finally talks to the press, he's professional and doesn't sound disgruntled.

So far, he's an injured CB who missed a voluntary camp because he was rehabilitating at home, nothing more. I'll give the guy the benefit of the doubt until he does something that demonstrates he doesn't deserve it.

While true, that doesn't hold in this case. He HAS to be here or he'll get fined every day he isn't. He's not here out of the kindness of his heart.

I can let byegones be bygones if he comes to work and competes for his position like everyone else. So I won't jump on the bandwagon and start hating the guy (and I was never a big Jenkins supporter)
