Ok Adam, our cap guru specialist, as i understand right now, we have about 6 million in cap money left. I assume after we cut brad johnson, maybe roy williams safety and tank johnson, we might have about about 10 million.

But after we sign Ware, jenn engel was saying after we resign ware to a long term deal, we have no more money to spend on no one or even or other players we have to sign like miles austin, or burnett or canty. So, do we have extra cap room Adam?

Next, would it be it we had to, to let ware, along with spears go into next year, and then sign them ot a long term contract?

in other words, with the cap this year, we have 6 million right now;

with players we have now, how much cap room will we have in 2010?

would it be better to wait till end of 2009 or start of 2010 and sign ware in januray or february before free agency started?

We'll be fine..we are 10 mil under right now and probably alot more after cutting and reconstructuring contracts. Draft picks will be cheap and they'll probably backload Ware's contract. I trust Jerry with contracts..I can't remember the last time we were in salary cap hell ala Oakland Raiders.

Jenn Engel and the rest of the media is the last place to get cap info from. They don't understand it and never will.

I quit worrying about cap space long ago. If a team wants something, they find a way.

Based on her writing style, she'd probably just sit there and call me names.

Y'know, on a leadersless team, I think stepping up and accepting less money or restructuring a current deal to open up room under the cap would show REAL leadership and committment to the organization and teammates.

But I doubt anybody on this team does it... I only say this b/c I recall reading something about Fitz claiming he'd restructure to help Arizona keep Boldin. If he does, that's pretty cool IMO

I think Owens and Romo as well.

For Owens it'd go A LOOOONG way toward getting the media off his back to boot. It'd be hard to call him a "cancer" and selfish ...

Yet another article from our illustrious media that shows the cowboys the way. Next up in the blogosphere, let's cut Ware because his contract is a detriment to the team.
