I'm a don't-buy-the-hype kind of guy with Downs too.

I project him in the Budda Baker to Minkah Fitzpatrick zone. Those are multi-time Pro Bowl safeties who've probably earned $100M playing football, so they've undeniably been good players, but you wouldn't call them generational. You probably wouldn't redraft them in the top five either.

Oh ok I guess I haven’t heard it I remember reading one scout saying he’s the best safety prospect he’s covered but I mean if he’s 24 then he may be right lol.

I mean the hype is a bit ridiculous, Downs will never be on the same level as Sean Taylor,Troy Polamalu, Ed Reed, Eric Berry. ETC. But he still will be a top 5 S in today's NFL.
