Am I the only one who believes in Jeremy Langford?

Am I the only one who thinks Langford will be another Demarco Murray?

What am I missing? Does he have a rap sheet?

Not that I know of

Player Overview
When discussing the top Big Ten running backs, Langford is rarely mentioned in the same breath as Wisconsin's Melvin Gordon, Nebraska's Ameer Abdullah or Indiana's Tevin Coleman. But with 12 straight 100-yard rushing performances against Big Ten competition, Langford earned his way into the conversation. Langford is the type of prospect that grows on you and the gap behind Gordon and Abdullah isn't as big as most think.

Langford emerged as not only the most reliable and efficient back, but also the best all-around player at the position in 2013. Langford finished the 2013 season with 1,422 rushing yards and 18 rushing scores. He closed his career with a single-season school record-tying 22 touchdowns in 2014 to go with 1,522 yards.

this I don't believe - I think hes as gopd L Bell

Sources Tell Us
"I don't see him as a starter. I think he can be a backup or compete as a third down back, but he doesn't run tough enough to be able to project him as a starter in really any scheme." -- NFC East scout

Bottom Line
Langford showed improvement from 2013 to 2014, but he doesn't accelerate through contact and will usually get what is blocked. Without an ability to maximize his yards with each carry, teams could peg him as a "committee back" with an ability to play on third downs.

2015 NFL Draft All-Underrated Team

Running back: Jeremy Langford, Michigan State
The skinny: Langford gets lost in the shuffle at times coming from a Big Ten conference loaded with talent at his position, but he shouldn't be overlooked. He rushed for more than 100 yards in 15 consecutive Big Ten games to close his college career, which is an FBS record since 1996, when STATS started tracking those marks.

Great minds think alike obviously...evidenced by the fact we both go by 'manster' on here and love Langford. I saw every game he played at MSU... Including about ten in person.

I think he can carry it roughly 12-15 times per game and be quite effective...don't see him carrying 20 times plus per game due to his size. He did that in college but CFB isn't the NFL obviously

I'd love to go defensive line (or any defense) in round 1 and then come back with Langford in Rd 2.

Yes, I can see you point. It is just that if Dallas is sitting with pick #27 and Tevin Coleman is still there, I'll be disappointed if the Cowboys do not select him. I think Coleman is going to be special.

I just happen to think Langford will be an outstanding back in the NFL as well - just not as much as Coleman.

I have seen some mock drafts where they do not have Langford selected until the 6th round. That really had me baffled.
