I my opinion, it is not even close. Parnell is super athletic and looked better in both camp and the game. He played LT from the time Free exited to the end of the game. Probably played the most snaps of any player in the game.

FYI:

He played 1 year at DE in college. He was signed to the Cowboys active roster last year from the Saints practice squad.

The Cowboys website has him listed at 6-6 but NFL Draft Scout has him listed at 6-8. While at training camp, I noticed that he appeared to be the same height at Sam Young who is listed at 6-8.

Why can't he just be a good prospect also?

I don't understand why he has to be >>>>>>>>>>>>> so so so superlative against so so so comparative.

Honestly the 2nd unit needs a lot of work... Gotta prepare those guys just in case they're called on.

He's not saying Young is a good prospect, he's saying Young is a bad prospect.

Parnell impressed me overall. I thought he played better than Young.

But is it just me or does Parnell seem to have a giant head? Maybe it's his hair, but that helmet looks huge. He was bigger overall than I thought he was supposed to be.

Being a Draft Choice Young has a better contract than Parnell.
Point was I'd rather be neither.

Parnell has looked awful in the past as well.

I think depth at that position is a serious question. I'm sure everyone finds this quite shocking.

When exactly was that?

This is the first time he's played in a uniform with Dallas.

I was impressed with Parnell. When you consider his newness to the position, I really think he showed well.

theogt is clueless. Unless he's heard of a player's name from someone else at the bar, they by default "suck" in his world.

With both tackles being manned well, and youthfully, I'm impressed with his potentials as well. It's not like the Cowboys need a trio of Pro Bowlers to pay at top levels as well. He meets what I consider as a solid fill, in a way that I see Holland. On a functional level, but with more up level for development.

It's this weird thing they do before preseason games, where all the players get together in a big building and run around for a few hours.

It's totally bizarre, but Parnell actually showed up at that get-together. And he looked pretty bad.

Does anyone try to have serious discussion here anymore, or it just gotcha and hyperbole?

You do have to admit, it would be pretty hard to have a serious discussion with someone who says 1+1=3, don't you?

Oh, so when you speak of the "past," you're actually referencing the training camp that's currently going on right now, right? Sweet save by you.

Young couldnt play at ND. Why would anybody think he could play here?

I think a lot of people were holding out hope that he could be a Colombo-type player. He was highly rated coming out of high school, but there's a reason why he dropped to the 7th round.
