but his chemistry with Garrett is badly flawed and the root of the issues with our team.

And while it's taken 10 years as the HC..Jerrah has also had Jason as a backup QB and seen him as an assistant in Miami, too. That's over 20 years Jerrah has to fall back on when it comes to Garrett and to stop seeing him thru rose-colored glasses.

That's as long as Tom Landry had with the Cowboys and he had stellar results.

Garrett, not so much. Jerrah wake up.

Some fans want to hate and vent on Jason

No way is Garrett hate a factor for me.

Nor is hate for Jerrah, a HofF owner.

It's the chemistry of them together that has run its course and ended as surely as Jerrah and Jimster back in 1996.

Some want a complete change going forward.

Not me..just some real analysis by the team about its problems.

If it's a lack of a GM, then hire one. If Aikman wants the job..hire him.

Anything Aikman has done he has succeeded at.

And if Aikman decides to go back to the booth..fine. Jimster did it, Rex Ryan has done it..

Clearly, Jerrah's knowledge as a team owner and league exec style passed on to Troy..

is going to bare fruit much faster than trying to do it with Garrett..please.

If Dak is limited, then make a change before we plunge into a commitment that cannot be easily undone once made.

But timing is everything.

Like this team with it's slow starts..

Jerrah cannot drag it out long to work at Jerrah-Speed. He is going to have narrowed his field of possibles within the next week as the pro playoffs begin and the college games end.

Anybody think Jerrah is ready?

Not me.

He seems bewildered and not in the moment with what has happened to his plans.

He keeps wanting to cling to the concept the Cowboys "are too talented" to be doing what they are doing.

Jerrah does not understand yet after 50+ of playing on and owning teams that the players have to want it most of all.

More than the fans, more than the coaches, more than the media..

but obviously Jerrah has given too much in the way of stadiums and training facilities..

now he is down to mega contracts to get the level of play where it needs to be.

Not working, Jerrah.

Is there a Plan B, Jerrah?

I hope so.

25 more years of this and we are both dead and gone waiting.

This is an excellent point and probably gets to the root of most of our sense of urgency. I don’t know the ages of posters on here but considering we are on here reading and writing about this team who has done nothing for 25 years, I think it’s fair to say most of us won’t be around if this goes on 25 more.

Who cares. I'm enjoying watching my favorite College team play at AT&T right now in the Cotton Bowl.
Same colors....better team.

"We Are PENNSTATE"

This is pretty much how "Jerry" teams always end up. Around .500. It's either a bad blueprint or no blueprint.

I'm guessing no blueprint, because that's what all signs point toward. His plan seems to be to simply throw a pile of talented players together. No plan B, no bailout plan, absolutely not clue what action to take when it doesn't work out.

And now we're back to overpaying players. And trading high draft picks for WR's and CB's.

Jerry, Jerry, Jerry. This didn't work the 1st time. Or the 2nd time. And now the 3rd time is falling apart yet again. Jerry, you just can't be this dumb.

Unless the Cowboys magically back into the playoffs, you will see next week that Jerry does understand it and has decided to move on.
From your mouth to Jerrahs ear.

I would be highly happy if the collective team would just get very angry with the whole mess.

Pull another game like the Rams game if they make the playoffs and just scare the pants of any team not knowing what team they are getting any given Sunday.

I see no reason for this team to quit now.

That's what I was thinking, but honestly, this guy is SO egotistical and delusional that I think he thinks that MORE of him is the actual answer.

I mean, it's just CRAZY how failure after failure doesnt resonate.

Then again, the reason is it doesnt hurt his wallet. We keep supporting him financially. Let's see some empty seats...and stop buying those damn jerseys for all that money!!!

This team quit after the Minnesota game. Detroit was a last gasp and it looks like the Rams may have been pure emotion/redemption. These guys don’t have what it takes to compete for a full season. Much less against the best in the NFL who actually crave a title.

I’m pretty confident Jerry knows extending Garrett’s contract would actually make a financial impact. He will hire someone to keep the fans interested before it happens. Much like he did when he wanted a new stadium. It’s the only way he will step out of his comfort zone.

Or a blueprint to entertain.

Doesn't the "mismanagement" maximize drama and therefore eyeballs? Right on the cusp makes for the most drama, especially with added personnel drama.

WWE comes to the NFL.

Most valuable sports franchise in the world. Hard to argue with those results.

No, you guys get this wrong.

JJ has never gotten anything wrong. the end.

Newsflash, the fans have.

If you are also any delusion that JJ is looking for a SB, you are sadly mistaken.

Get it through your heads, JJ wants the stadium filled, everything else doesnt matter.

I'm sick of hiring former Cowboys. We need a new GM, but the GM should be someone with a winning track record as an NFL GM. Hiring former players as coaches has been part of the problem and Aikman is someone with no GM experience.

Is the cliff notes version available? Lol

This line just makes me

Jerry doesn't get it so bring in the guy he passed the not getting it to.

No.

I get paid by the emoji.

But I understand Jerrah sells them out of the back of his bus on Sundays.

Look on Ebay starting Monday for the new updated unabridged re-edited corrected re-worked newly worded edition with a specially written forward by Jimster revealing the exact language used the evening he quit his HC job in Dallas. Can't wait for that.
