A round of applause should go to the Cowboys owner Mr. Jerrah Jones, it was him and a couple other owners whom sat down and came up with the approved proposal. I really think J. Jones is about making the NFL better!

He and a few other owners made some tweeks to the proposal to make it work for all the owners and they approved of it. That came from ESPN and NFL Network.

I had no doubt in my mind that Jerry was going to be the driving force. Not only is he the best owner in the NFL, but you could tell by his remarks to the media throught this entire process that he was going to do whatever is necessary to get this completed. Props to Jerry

Unfortunately it seems like JJ took it in the shorts some to get this deal through. To be fair, so did Snyder. Thank God JJ is our owner!!!

Did anyone ever doubt that Jerry was one of the more influential owners in the league? Jerry, the Rooneys, Al Davis -- all those guys are opinion leaders.

Apparently Ralph Wilson was one of 2 owners who voted against the proposal.

what an idiot -- here's a guy who would gain from revenue sharing. the more the better for him. he just really hates Jerry. For obvious reasons.

Especially in Buffalo. That market has been dwindling for years. The only thing in Buffalo is the Bills, hiowever. I heard a couple of days ago that the population in Buffalo has gone from over a million to barely above 300,000 in about ten years.

I am going to try to find out who the other owner was.

Most of these owners will have to go a long way to get the best of JJ on any deal.......he is highly intelligent and a marketing genius!

Mike Brown voted against it also ? Geez.

BTW - Thanks.

If anything, with a healthy Palmer and an up and coming team they are in a position to really make some moves to get to the next level. Simply doesnt make any sense.

The fact that it was two of the "small market" owners that voted against the deal tells me that Jerrah, Danny and the rest of the "big market" teams must not have given in to ALL of the money grubbing demands of the jerkwater teams. The big boys must have found some ways to sew some loopholes into the deal so they wouldn't have to give away all of their profits to the jerkwaters.

That is just an initial impression though. It will be interesting to see how the deal was structured when and IF the details are ever made public.

They didn't exactly come up with a brilliant plan....according to the news this morning, they simply extended the current CBA.

I went to college at the University of Buffalo back in 87-92. I never understood why people settled there.

You're right, all they have is the Bills ... and they pamper them like spoiled children. Sickening. If I lost 4 Super Bowls in a row, I'd be PO'd ... but in Buffalo, they embraced those losers and kept saying, "We'll get em next year!". ***???

Anyway, back in the late 90's, the total population was about half a million in the Buffalo and surrounding areas (including Niagara Falls). So a decline to 300,000 is pretty severe ... 40% of it's population gone. I don't doubt it.

I knew something was up when an old college buddy brought a 4 bedroom home in the suburbs of Buffalo, NY for $70K ... the same home would sell for $700K in NYC.

Something's up.

Ralph Wilson never forgave us for those spankings ... he hates the NFC East.
