According to Peter King in the most current MMQB up on SI.com--Greg Williams not only gets $8 million a year, but he was given a $100,00 a year luxury box as well. (And what didn't widely get reported at the time was that Gibbs gets a percentage of the team when he retires. That would be for three years not $8 Mill a year. If not he would be the highest paid Coach ( even higher than Gibbs, who is supposed to be Highest), PERIOD in NFL. Unless that is wrongly reported in the media as 3 year $8 Mil deal.

Yeah he isn't getting 8 mill a year. Its a 3 year, 8 million dollar deal, which works out to about 2.6 mill a year. Not too shabby.

You didnt have to. I think anyone that tries can read between the lines. Youre trying to deflect critisism away from Parcells unjustified raise by pointing out what Gibbs is recieving in Washington.

That was absolutely not my intent. I just thought the blurb was a bit of a chuckle, that an assistant coach now gets a luxury box. I'd be curious what he offers the next big star he signs.

Good for Joe Gibbs, for all he has done for that Franchise, he deserves a percentage of the team.

Heck, he probably didnt need it, but it would have been nice to see Landry get a deal like that.

Gibbs was a minority owner with the Falcons if you guys remember. It only makes sense to give him a little piece of the pie.

As far as Gregg Williams is concerned, it seems fairly evident to me that the plan is in place for him to eventually succeed Gibbs as the HC, and Gibbs will just remain as team president.
