Probably the only way to keep him is to let him know he's the next HC if McCarthy falters in the playoffs again. GMs are going to be lining up to sign him as their next coach as soon as this season is over.

Im afraid you are correct sir. He wants to be a HC, if not here, he’s more than likely gone.
Of course I thought that he was gone in the off season. Sure hope they can figure something out, but have my doubts.
He’ll be high on everyone’s list that needs a HC.

Do you not already know that D. Quinn is being paid like a head coach RIGHT NOW? Money isn’t going to keep Quinn. If Quinn gets an offer as a HC that he wants, he’s gone.

If he wants to be a HQ, probably better for him to move on after this season than let it ride another. Strike while the iron is hot.

I don't think Jerry will keep Quinn unless he pays him some big time money. Nevertheless, got to find a way to keep him.
Lol, right, because Quinn is the only DC who can coach the 43 under!

He has built a good D staff. I think Whitt or Durde would do well as DC if Quinn left. I dont think Quinn could poach them. However Im not sure of the rules for that anymore

He's given the Cowboys their best defense since the 90's.
HE is responsible for it? Lol... so he was great in Seattle, then forgot how to coach in Atlanta, now he knows how to coach again? Hmmmm, must be the water in Texas.

I’d be interested to see those contract numbers you’re referring to?

if cowboys continue and have success this offseason, then Quinn is gone unless Jerry lets McCarthy walk, which would be unprecedented for a winning team (except Jerry did it once with Johnson, but that was a separate story).

there will be plenty of offers on the table for Quinn. he will be the hottest commodity out there.

I agree. The thing with the NFL is that you can be a total failure as a HC multiple times and you still have an almost guaranteed job as a coordinator in the league. He has little to lose except maybe a few hits to the ego by becoming a HC again.

Regardless of whether he has anything to lose or not. That’s what he desires. He’s made that clear already.

Once again money can’t solve it if Quinn has a desire to be a head football coach. Money can make him pass up jobs that he would take just for the sake of being a head coach (jobs that aren’t promising franchises) but not just avoid being a head coach altogether.

guys like Quinn have a passion to lead a locker room as the head voice. You can throw cash at him and get him to turn down **** jobs but if the right opportunity comes he’s likely going to take it.
